Selene’s Pov : Alistair and I have been married for four years and in these four years I’ve learned to love my husband even more.I was happy to throw a surprise birthday for him on his 28th. What I didn’t know was that from this day on ,nothing would be the same again . I stood behind my car as Jensen helped me offload things from the boot . “Do you really think he’s going to like this wine ?” Jensen asked me as he held the bottle . “Yes ,you know Alistair doesn’t like alcohol” I collected it from him. “Just help me bring all of this inside” I watched Jensen lift two boxes as he took them inside. I intended on lifting one when my eyes fell on a stranger just by the other side of the road . His grey colored hair made him stand out . But the most uncanny thing about him were his eyes . He had ridiculously intense red eyes . Eyes that birthed fear without even trying. My eyes stayed glued on the man . His leather jacket matched with his leather pants and boots. He had his hair tied up in a ponytail. “Selene ,you coming ?!” I instantly broke our eye contact at the sound of Jensen's voice. I was heading inside . I looked back again to catch a glimpse of this same man but he was gone . It was like no one even walked that road . The minute I was inside the house I saw Jensen gulping down a bottle of water. “Did you see that man ?” I asked . “What man ?” He replied with a question. “The one with grey hair and red eyes” He immediately spat out his water as he began laughing . “You are watching a lot of movies Selene ,Grey hair and Red eyes ?” “Yeah I saw him “ “ Yeah right and I saw the Easter bunny” he said again. “I’m gay ,If a man like that were to walk on that road I would be the first to notice” he said . I started to doubt what I had seen with my own eyes. …… Hours passed and the decorations had already been put out. The balloons were hung ,the sign was up . I had drinks and food placed on the kitchen counter . “This place smells amazing, “ Jensen said . I smiled . The day had slowly turned dark and people had started to arrive. The guests walked in with gifts and I smiled as I welcomed all of them . And just as I thought . Casey walked in . “Good evening “ she greeted . My smile faded . “Good evening Casey “ I forged a smile . My eyes searched for Jensen in the crowd and I found him in a small circle of people . Jensen and I were attending to everyone as the clock struck 11:55 . And I immediately became worried . “Shouldn’t Alistair be here by now ?” Jensen asked . “Yeah” I said as I creased my brows . The sound of a car horn echoed through the house and I immediately knew he was back . His car lights flashed in the house and I turned to everyone . “Everyone ,he’s here ,hide “ I said . I turned off the lights as I walked outside to welcome my husband . He closed the door to his car as he stood next to the flowers in a Black suit . His blonde hair fell over his face and his blue eyes gleamed in the night . A wave of pride flashed my chest as I stood there staring at him . He turned to look at me as a smile crept up his lips . “Hey baby, “ he said. I ran to him as I embraced him . “You smell so good, “ I told him . He released a small chuckle as he brushed my hair behind my ear . “I have all the energy in the world today,” he said . He leaned in as he whispered in my ears : “I’m going to show you what heaven feels like” I felt his hot breath on my ears as he spoke. I found myself giggling at his words as a smile crept up my lips . “Are you blushing, dear wife ?” He asked . He put his arms around my shoulders as we began walking inside . The moment we stepped inside I turned on the lights and everyone jumped . “SURPRISE !!!!!” Everyone yelled as the confetti went dangling in the air. A huge smile landed on his lips as he looked at me . “No f*****g way” he said . “You planned this ?” He asked . “Well me and Jensen ,but yeah “ He pulled me in for a kiss . “AWwwWwwwn” The crowd said in unison. “I love you “ he whispered . “I love you too “ I whispered back at him . The party was fun ,Alistair had gone upstairs to change ,the moment he walked down I noticed the change in his expression. I didn’t trust his words at this very moment . Everyone was enjoying the food and drinks when I walked to the middle . I held my glass cup in my hands as I clinked on it with a silver spoon . He moved suspiciously in the crowd . “What’re you doing in my house ?” I whispered to myself . I put my glass down ,steadily following the man when I heard the sound of glass shatter behind me . I turned to see Alistair on the floor .
