"Thank you," I tell her sincerely. Then something else pops into my mind. "How did they escape the pack and burn down Amber's home in the first place?" Alpha Matthew growls at my question, but the anger is not directed at me. It's Caleb who answers.
"They killed the warriors that kept an eye on them with the help of dark witches. Then they went to the forest and started the fire as a diversion before they left the pack lands." I gasp.
"How many died?"
"Five warriors lost their lives today. Between the three that kept an eye on the house and the two border guards they must have encountered." Caleb answers with a sad voice. I nod.
