HER DEVIL

TRIP HAS STARTED TO WHERE!

ANIYAH POV:

‘’If you want to succeed in keeping that much excitement then you must get ready. We will leave in an hour.’’ Mom said telling me that I had to do everything fast if I wanted to be on time.

‘’Did dad told where we are leaving for?’’ I asked wanting to know where we will go. I can’t wait to find out.

‘’You know when he keeps something secret. No one can guess.’’ Mom replied cooling down my excitement.

‘’But I know it will be good,’’ I said getting out of my cozy bed and stride towards the bathroom. Getting fresh I was ready to leave for the trip in my denim jean short-covering my thighs and white top with black strips on shoulders with bow design.

It was my favorite dress and my first time wearing it. I loved how decent it was and cute also.

‘’Aniyah we need to leave today dear.’’ I heard mom voice breaking out of my thoughts and ran out to take some necessary things but I met with surprise.

My things were already packed and mom was putting my makeup pouch in my bag.

‘’Are we shifting somewhere? Why this much packing?’’ I asked looking at mom confused.

‘’Well, you will find out later. First, have your breakfast and we will leave after that.’’ Mom said smiling or more as she smiled was indicating like she was hiding something behind it. But I can’t even find that out.

I should eat breakfast right now. let’s leave the rest of the things for later. About the time I finished my breakfast and in moments we all were ready to leave.

We went to dad’s car. Bro was sitting in front with dad while I sat with my most favorite person on earth. My lovely mother.

After a few minutes, we reached Elsa's house. She came out jumping and running with her bags behind with their house helper. I knew she would pack that much.

‘’Hey, sweet sixteen.’’ She said after sitting with me in the car. We moved to the third seat together while mom sat alone.

‘’I have a name you know. Don’t call me with those funny nouns.’’ I said in reply making an annoyed pout at her but I was only showing my response to her.

‘’You do know that sometimes you speak funny don’t you.’’ She said laughing in between.

‘’That is also another talent you know,’’ I replied telling her that I wasn’t irritated and she can’t tease me early in the morning.

‘’And our troublemaker has all the talents in the world.’’ I heard brother speaking and smirking at me through the mirror in middle.

‘’And guessing everything wrong is your talent,’’ I said backfiring at him in the meantime telling him that messing with me is never a good idea to start with.

‘’Stop fighting you too.’’ Mom said telling us to work things out in the end.

‘’We weren’t fighting mom. We just keep checking who is good at choosing words. Don’t we, my little troublemaker?’’ Bro said smiling at me.

‘’Yes my big trouble giver,’’ I said in response, and this time even dad chuckled lightly.

‘’No wonder you asked for a trip as your birthday gift. It does feel good to be with family.’’ Elsa spoke with a little stressed tone.

‘’Not every time you need someone to be present to enjoy their company dear. Sometimes you have to be good and ready to give your time to loved ones as they are not able to do so.’’ Mom said replying to her.

‘’No wonder this drama queen speaks such good words on stage. She does take after you.’’ Elsa said like a sparrow chirping. She was once again back in her energetic form.

‘’Dad!’’ I said after the ride became little silent.

‘’Daughter!’’ he replied in response making me smile in response followed by others.

‘’You still haven’t told us where we are going,’’ I asked not to be able to control the building up curiosity in myself anymore. And I was never good at controlling it in the first place.

‘’You will find out when you will reach there. HAVE the PATIENCE TO TASTE THE SWEETEST FRUIT.’’  He said while we both spoke the last line together.

This sentence was one of the famous pick-up lines in our house. Dad always told us such useful lines so that we will follow them to be a good person. It works like magic. Whenever you believe in a saying you make the impossible possible sometimes.

My favorite saying is ‘THIS TIME WILL ALSO PASS!’ Usually, say it to someone when they are in trouble. I don’t even know the year when I started using this sentence. Everyone used to say that I was a fan of this saying ever since.

 I got drift into my thoughts and didn’t know the last moment I was present in the car and next, I felt someone hand on my shoulder.

‘’Wake up troublemaker.’’ Heard my bro voice who was waking me up.

Soon I opened my eyes and looking around saw everyone out of the car. I looked around and saw the sea. Yes, the sea which was two cities away from our home. I never knew we will drive that much.

But I felt my heart getting heavy sudden. Like this was some old place of mine. Maybe I was overexcited that is why I was feeling everything.

We walked closer to shore while mom and dad went to check the hotel room to check the rooms they booked earlier. Meanwhile, Elsa went with them as she needed to use the restroom.

I was alone with bro. my feelings were getting stronger with every passing second. like there was some type of fire in my heart and the next moment I was standing in deep iced water. All this felt weird.

I wasn’t feeling good. I looked at bro who was taking pictures of the sea from the moment we arrived here. feeling such heavyweight, I knew something was off with me.

Like hundred eyes looking at me once. I want to run to my mom and hide in her arms. I was never a scared cat like this. but whenever something big happens. I try to reach mom.

I was waiting for her when I felt my body losing connection with my brain. people’s voices sounded like yells in closed boxes. I only saw darkness around me in the end.
