"Beneath the Billionaire’s Veil"
Episode 1: The Job Offer
The rain tapped steadily against the glass windows of the small café as Elena Bennett reread the email on her cracked phone screen for the fifth time.
“We are pleased to offer you a personal assistant position at Cross Enterprises. Report to the 72nd floor, Monday, 9:00 AM sharp.”
Her stomach twisted—not with excitement, but nerves. Cross Enterprises wasn’t just any corporation. It was a fortress of power and secrecy, and Alexander Cross, its founder, was a legend wrapped in a mystery.
A billionaire with no known romantic entanglements. Ruthless in boardrooms. Almost never seen in public.
But Elena didn’t care about the tabloids. She had one reason for applying: Sophia. Her older sister had vanished six months ago. The last known location? Working as an intern at Cross Enterprises.
"Elena, are you sure about this?" her friend Lila asked from across the table, stirring her coffee with growing concern. “This isn’t a movie. People don’t just disappear.”
“Exactly. And someone has to find out why.”

Monday – 9:00 AM
The building loomed over her like a monument to silence and secrets. Security was tight. She was scanned, tagged, and escorted to the top floor by a man with no expression and mirrored sunglasses.
The office was all glass and marble—cold, sleek, and sterile. Just like the man sitting behind the enormous desk.
Alexander Cross.
He didn’t rise. He didn’t smile. His eyes, pale and piercing, flicked over her resume as if he already knew every word. Then he looked up.
“You’re not qualified,” he said bluntly.
Elena’s breath caught. “Excuse me?”
“You graduated second-class. No elite references. No multilingual skills. You’re here because someone on my board owes a favor.”
He closed her file.
Elena stiffened but refused to break. “I’m here because I’m good at finding what others miss. You’ll see that soon enough.”
Something flickered in his eyes—amusement? Surprise?
“I don’t like assistants who speak back,” he said.
“Then I’m not your assistant. I’m your solution.”
He leaned back in his chair, silent for a long moment, before finally speaking again.
“You start now.”

As the door shut behind her, Elena let out a shaky breath. She wasn’t here just to work. She was here to unravel the truth.
And something in Alexander Cross’s eyes told her this job might uncover more than just her sister’s disappearance.
It might unravel everything.
