Between Doors

Once upon a time, there was a family moving to the city of Oakshire. But there was a teenage girl in the family named Anika that felt different. It feels she's capable of something stronger and more dangerous. It was morning and her family were starting a perfect day by just doing what they used to. Her mother was cooking breakfast, her dad was watching the news while her two older brothers were playing football in their backyard." Anika dear, rise and shine! You don't want to be late in your new school, don't we?" Her mother woke her up." Yes mother! Coming!" Anika answered. She immediately changed to her proper school uniform. As she looked at the time, she immediately ran down the stairs and almost fell! " Bye mom! I need to go!" Anika said to her mother. She hurriedly took her lunchbox and ran outside." Gosh that girl…" Her mother chuckled in amusement at her own daughter's actions. Anika walked along the sidewalk as she watched the students walking alongside each other while she was alone, no friends to walk with her like in her old hometown. Suddenly, a girl tries to talk to Anika." Hey! I'm Elizabeth, but you can call me Liz or El!" Anika was surprised because, on the first day of school, someone tried to talk to her." Oh! Hey! I'm Anika, but you can call me Nika. I'm the new transfer student at Oakshire Academy," Elizabeth immediately answered. " Wait, really? Yay!! We could be best friends forever!" Elizabeth shouted loudly, but Anika was not bothered. She just laughed, a genuine laugh, while walking towards the school gate, she noticed the presence was different, but she just ignored it. In class, the bell rang, signaling to the students that it was lunchtime. " Hey Liz, let's go to the cafeteria?" Anika asked Elizabeth if she wanted to go with her. " Sure! Like no one has ever asked me that!" They both went to the cafeteria with a full of other students, but they didn't care, they have each other that what matters to them. Later that afternoon, the school bell rang, signaling it was the end of school. As they got from their own houses and family, Anika immediately went to her bedroom to rest. She changed into her PJs, and before she went to bed, she read one of her favorite fantasy books. " Gosh, I wish I could go to a magical forest...wait, I need to go pee." As she walked to her bathroom door, she suddenly got teleport into the Magical forest she wished to go. "What the-Wow… This is beautiful-" Anika saw an injured white wolf that looks have been hunted. " Oh dear, are you okay?" Suddenly the wolf answered back. " Do I look im okay?" Anika was shocked that this white wolf can talk." Y-you can talk?! B-but how?! You're a wolf!" Anika shouted. "Of course, I can talk. This is a magical forest. What do you expect? Full of princesses and princes? I don't think so. I'm Arthur. The leader of the pack." Anika was speechless. She could not even process words, but she immediately fixed her composure. " I'm Anika… I came from the mortal world, I can travel to different worlds, times and dimensions by just using any door and saying the place I want to go." Arthur was shocked. " You came from the Mortal world? YES! I knew it! We need your help from all of us that live in this forest. In your world, this forest is facing a lot of problems. The other trees are getting cut down... And almost all of us are running out of food." Anika was confused because there is no forest in their city. " Huh? How? In our city, we don't have trees. It's full of buildings and houses. Maybe someone is destroying them HERE."
