The weekend came quietly.
for Yevin, it was a break from school, a chance to rest, but not completely. Her mother had already planned the day" you're coming with me to the market," her mother said that morning.
Yevin, who had just finished lying her hair, sighed softly " Again?"
Her mother gave her a look," Do you want food in this house or not?"
Yevin smiled faintly and picked up her bag alright, alright " I'm coming,"
The market was lively, people moved from one stall to another, the scent of fresh vegetables, spice and cooked food mixed together creating The familiar atmosphere Yevin hard grown used to.
she walked beside her mother at first, helping carry a basket, occasionally picking items when asked.
But as always, her attention began to drift.
Her eyes moved around, observing people, noticing small details, letting her thoughts wander.
Then she saw the kim brother's, at first, she wasn't sure but when she looked again she recognized them immediately.
Min jae and beside him so-jung
They stood near one of the stalls, looking completely different from everyone else around them.
Min jae, on the other hand, looked relaxed, almost out of place in a different way, his hand were in his pocket, his expression easy, but his eyes we alert.
And then-their eyes met
so-jung saw her first, for a brief moment, he froze then a slow smile spread across his face.
" well," he said under his breath, this is unexpected.
Yevin hesitated, she didn't planned to meet them again, but standing there and pretending not to see them would be awkward.
so she walked toward them," Hey," she simply said,
so-jung looked at her, his smile still there, but after now" you again, he replied.
His tone was light, but there was something behind it-something more focused than before.
min jae give a small node." Good morning." His voice was calm, controlled as usual.
Yevin glanced at in briefly, then looked back at so-jung.
" you look better," she said.
so-jung raised an eyebrow" so you were worried?," I wasn't, she replied quickly. " you just looked terrible yesterday."
He laughed, " that's harsh," it's honest.
min jae watched them quietly, saying nothing, his gaze moved between the two observing every detail.
" so," so-jung said, heating his head slightly, " you come here often?"
Yevin crossed her arms lightly." it's a market people come here."
" I mean you," he said, and I mean yes, she replied. He smiled again, there it was that same boldness, you're still like this, he said. "like what?" difficult.
she raised an eyebrow "and you are still talkative." for a moment, there was a purse. not awkward just... fill
Then min jae spoke "we'll be leaving soon"
Yevin looked at him. "leaving?"
so-jung nodded "yeah we are heading back," back where?
"home," he says casually. " place was just temporary." she didn't say anything immediately just nodded slightly oh.
so-jung watch her reaction closely, it was small but he noticed it "don't tell me you will miss me," he said lightly. she looked at him "I won't." I don't need you to, min jae glanced at so-jung briefly, then looked away again ther was a short silence then so-jung spoke again, give me your phone, Yevin frowned " why?" No, he blinked and then laughed softly " your serious?" what do you think he said, he took a step closer, lowering his voice slightly.
" Then how do you plan to keep thinking about me without my number?"
she starred at him, "you are very confident," I know.
Then, unexpectedly she sighed and pulled out her phone fine make it quick.
so-jung took the phone from my hand, his finger brushed lightly against her for a brief second neither of them mentioned it.
He dialed his number and handed the phone back "now you have mine too," you said.
she looked at the screen, then back at him "I didn't say I would call you," you will she almost smile.
from a distance, her mother called her name "Yevin!" she turned slightly "I'm coming!" then she looked back at them I have to go.
min jea nodded once " take care?" so-jung didn't speak immediately he just looked at her. Then he quietly, " Don't ignore my call" she shook her head slightly" No promise." and then she left.
so-jung watched her walk away step by step, untill she disappeared into the crowed.
He slipped his hands into his pockets again, but his expression had changed. He wasn't just amused anymore.
"...you got her number," min jae said so-jung nodded slowly yeah.
min jea studied him briefly " you didn't sleep last night so-jung let out a small laugh " so you noticed," you were restless.
so-jung looked in the direction she had left his smile returned, but this time it was quite, more thought " yeah," he said
"... and I think it's about to get worse" The market noise continued around them but for so-jung everything had already shifted
