Always and forever.

A bad feeling.

*One week later*

I had still been having nightmares but James was amazing at taking care of me and helping me to calm down. During the day I spent a lot of time training and keeping busy any way I could to keep the bad feeling that was gnawing at me from taking over.

'What's wrong with me? Why am I getting all of these nightmares and bad feelings just when everything was starting to go right?'

'I wish there was more I could do to help you baby, I hate knowing that you feel this way and there's nothing I can do for you.'

'You being here is enough. I love you, always and forever.'

Later in the day, after lunch Tony came into the living room. 'We're having a party tonight, we never officially celebrated you coming home and now that everyone knows where you were I feel like we can have a proper celebration of your safe return.'

'Umm I don't know if i'm feeling up to a party Tony...actually y'know what a party may just be what I need to take my mind off things for a while, i'm in!'

'Great, i'll head out and get what we need. See you later.'

As the party neared closer I headed to my room to get ready. I put on a beautiful long black gown with a slit up to my thigh on one side and some black heels to match. I loosely curled my hair and put on my makeup. There was a knock at my door amd James walked in.

'Wow baby you look unbelievable! You took my breath away!'

'James you're too sweet. You look amazing, so handsome.'

James was dressed in a beautiful Navy blue suit with a white shirt and black tie. His hair was styled perfectly and as I looked at him I couldn't believe how lucky I was to have him in my life.

'Let's head down stairs.' James smiled at me as he held out his arm for me to take. I linked my arm with his and we headed down to the party.

Drinks flowed, everyone laughed and danced and sang, and for once I had completely gotten rid of that feeling in the pit of my stomach. It felt so good to be celebrating amongst these amazing people that had become a part of my life. They were my family, they'd do anything for me and i'd do anything for them. I loved them all so much.

The next morning I woke in James' arms.

'Good morning beautiful.'

'Good morning James, I can't believe it, no nightmare, and I feel better, maybe I just needed to let loose a little.'

He pulled me in closer and stroked my hair.

'I'm so happy you're feeling better. Lets go get some breakfast.'

As we sat in the kitchen eating breakfast Grace walked in. 'Oooh guys its such a beautiful day today! Lets get the others and all head to the beach!'

'Sounds good to me, James?'

'Yeah sounds perfect.'

Everyone got ready and packed up the car and we headed to the beach. When we arrived we found a fairly secluded spot, there weren't many people close by. Everyone wanted to go for a swim but I wanted to relax and read my book a little so i sat up on the sand and watched the others head off to the water.

After five minutes or so I got a shiver down my back and the hair on the back of my neck stood on end. I suddenly felt very uneasy. The gnawing feeling was back in my stomach and I couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. I thought I was just being paranoid so I just tried to ignore it. All of a sudden I felt something hit the back of my head and everything went black.

*James POV*

Everyone headed out of the water back towards where Katie was waiting. As we got closer I noticed she wasn't there. Everyone was confused.

Tony looked at me, 'She was here a moment ago maybe she forgot something in the car, i'll go check.' He returned a few minutes later, alone.

'Tony I have a bad feeling about this, she would never have just left withou......' I couldn't finish my sentance, I noticed something on the sand where she had been sitting. Her book, I picked it up and I saw blood. My blood ran cold and I couldn't find any words. Everyone started looking around at eachother in panic. I could hear everyone talking but everything spunded fuzzy and I couldn't make out what was being said.

'James..JAMES!' Tonys voice snapped me back to reality. 'Look what I found, isn't this from the base you both were kept at?'

'Yeah, but how will we find her, I looked for years and never could, how will now be any different?! We have to get her back tony. I promised her i'd never let anything happen to her! I promised.'

I dropped to my knees utterly defeated. I needed to find her, the thought of never seeing her again killed me, I couldn't let that happen, I needed her to be okay and I needed to find her.

Tony placed his hand on my shoulder. 'James..we'll find her, I promise you. We may not have your enhanced strength but we train too and we're all strong fighters, we'll be with you every step until we get her back.'

I nodded slowly. 'We're coming for you Katie, Just hang on for us. We'll be there soon..I hope.'
