Chapter 19: Packing up

1075 Words
...........1 week later................... Jonah and I were staying in the Stone-tree pack house, I hated it. I missed our bed and the daily ride on the bike. I was given a wide birth seeing as I had a tendency to snap, Jonah laughed at my cranky attitude. One day I was called to the pack hospital, I made my way over and saw a man shift into his grey wolf and run off. I walked in and heard his heart wrenching howl, I shook my head and walked over to one of the nurses. "I was called here by doctor Dayton." I said, the nurse gave me a small, sad smile and led me to Dr. Dayton's office. "Hello doc, what can I do for you?" A she wolf named Gypsy died during child birth a little while ago Alpha, the father...he is a broken man after losing his mate, please let me show you the pup." I was beginning to get curious, this was something the doctors and nurses dealt with, Chris and Lani only dealt with me as an orphaned pup. When I saw the little princess I understood. The pup was born with an extra chromosome, I lifted her from the tiny glass crib she was in and nearly melted when she cooed.  (Reya: Jo, will you come to the nursery in the hospital?) (Jonah: Be there in a second.) I held the tiny pup as I waited for Jonah, she made another small coo and I purred. Jonah walked in and took a look at the tiny baby in my arms and ran his large finger over her tiny belly. "What is her name?" He whispered. "She doesn't have one, her mom died giving birth and her dad ran off." I said, the doctor had left me with the tiny girl when a nurse called him away. "Jonah, I want her." He smiled and lifted the baby from my arms and held her to his chest, I watched his eyes run over her pink blanket. I heard her coo and we both purred, Jonah gave me a jaw dropping smile and kissed the top of her head. "If your gonna come home with us, you are gonna need a name." He said to the tiny girl. He looked around the room and walked over to a chair and motioned for me to come over. I sat in his lap and took the pup back into my arms and thought about a name. Jonah pulled out his phone and hit a button before putting the phone to his ear.  "Hey Al, is there anyway you and the crew could add another medium sized room to the second floor....It would be used as a nursery......the occupant for the room will be there next week.....perfect thanks man..........yeah you too....Alright see you soon."  "I hope she likes bikes." I said, "What about Harley?" I squealed making Jonah chuckle. He thought for a moment before he smiled at me. "Harley Rey Wolff." He said looking into my eyes. I smiled and kissed his forehead before looking at our pup. I felt tears run down my face as I realized I had a pup. Mine, my pup, she was all mine, from her tiny wisps of golden hair to the tips of her perfect little toes. I had a full little family, I had the one thing I was missing. The doctor walked in and looked at us warmly.  "Doctor Dayton, Harley isn't an orphan anymore." I said making him smile. He walked over to the glass bin and pulled out a beige folder and handed Jonah the birth certificate. Jonah filled it out then took Harley while Dr. Dayton led me to a station and taught me how to make a bottle. He grabbed one from the fridge and explained why we couldn't use the one I had used. "The milk in this bottle is from a woman who had just given birth, it has the necessary colostrum that Harley needs." "How long will she need those?" "The rest of the day, then you can give her room temperature formula." I nodded and we walked back over to Jonah and Harley who had her almond shaped, blue eyes open. I sat back down on Jo's lap and watched as he fed her for the first time. Her little eyes looked at him and I could see the bond begin to form, I purred and leaned my head on Jonah's shoulder.  I did the next feeding and formed my own bond with my princess. Jonah had to carry me from the hospital because I didn't want to leave my small pup.  The next day I was the day of the trial for Marcus, he was found guilty and was sentenced to a life of exile. He was made to drink a blood and wolfsbane cocktail to sever his bonds from the pack. I watched as he ran off, I silently prayed he didn't do anything drastic, two wolves followed him making me feel so much better. I sighed and helped a large family corral their youngest pups. One of them was a young boy I wanted to keep my eye on, he looked like a prime choice to be Alpha one day.  ...........1 week later........... We were finally home, we crossed the border of Broken-arrow with our parade of vehicles. Jonah, Kane, Harley and I shared a vehicle. Kane had fallen in love with Harley and wouldn't hand her back to me until I began snarling for my pup. Jonah watched the whole time and laughed at the interaction. We pulled up to our house while the pack went to all the marked houses claiming the ones they wanted. Our family was waiting by the covered bike, waiting to meet our little one. I pulled her covered car seat out and carried her up to Lani and Chris. "Will you guys bring her up to the nursery while we unpack?" I asked. Lani nodded happily and entered the house with my small baby. I whimpered lightly but grabbed my things and carried them to my room. I unpacked all my belongings, then I went to the nursery to see Lani changing my Harley. I walked in and pit my finger in her small hands, which she held tightly. Her mouth opened in a toothless smile, I would've fallen to my knees if Jonah hadn't come up behind me, his chest rumbled with a purr.  "She is perfect Kitten, we have a perfect family." I nodded and purred in agreement.
