Chapter 11
After a wonderful dinner of beef pie soaked in rich gravy and a huge salad at the Walsh’s, Kendra and Patrick curled up on the couch and put a movie on. He wasn’t sure why they’d put the movie on, except as background noise and an excuse for sitting together in the dark, since they didn’t watch a minute of it. Luckily, or deliberately, it was something they’d both seen before.
Instead of watching the movie, they were paying complete attention to each other. After that first evening when things had gotten a little carried away, Kendra had pulled back a step and things had progressed slowly but steadily from there.
