Chapter 7
On the night of the full moon, Kendra’s dad shut down the shop early and they had dinner together, the three of them, before hopping into his beat-up pick up truck and driving to the pack hall. They were the second vehicle in the lot, arriving just behind Theo and his wife. While Kendra and Theo reviewed tax information and other accounting details for the pack, Larry, Justine and Anne, Theo’s wife, took care of the set-up for the evening’s activities.
Across town Heidi was standing in front of the library, chain smoking and growing impatient. Richard was supposed to meet her with a delivery, but he was running late. When his car finally swung into the lot, he climbed out with his usual swagger and cocky grin.
