Chapter 6
Heidi stamped her feet, trying to keep warm. The winters were the worst part of smoking. Not even her parents let her smoke in the house and werewolves had sharp noses, so she didn’t dare try to sneak it past them. That was one of the reasons she didn’t do pot very often, too easy to smell out. And she didn’t like the mellow feeling very much. She preferred something that made her feel awake and alive. She had enough of mellow and boring living in this itty-bitty town.
Why Patrick had given up an exciting life in an exciting city to move out to the middle of nowhere was beyond her but at least she had someone interesting around now. Even the people she considered her friends were starting to bore her. They had boring jobs or were going to school to get degrees to get boring job
