Jane's P . O . V I particularly couldn't bring myself to understand just how exactly I managed to fall asleep sometime last night with my uneasy position, extremely unstable mind and the blood freezing chilly night weather. I flicked my eyes open just some few minutes back due to the particularly disturbing rays of sunshine seeping in through the still widely opened windows into the room and hitting right on my face in an annoying manner and all I could do was squint my eyes and turn the other way since my hands were still very much tied behind my back no thanks to the annoying man from last night. Speaking of annoying man, I turned my head sharply over to his bed and yes it was empty and neatly straightened like no one has laid on it in weeks. If I hadn't seen him go to bed Last night, I could have sworn that bed hasn't been touched in ages. How he managed to get up from bed without me noticing? I have not a single idea and here I was thinking I was high on my sneaky game. "Ah, you're awake" a voice sounded from the far end of the room and I crooked my head to the extreme possible point before I could get sight of him standing by a full length mirror rolling up his sleeves looking all dressed up like he was heading out or probably just returned. Taking in his appearance only just reminded me of how pissed off I'm supposed to be and I wasted no time in showing him just how annoyed I am with how I shook violently on the chair and cussed loudly but it was reduced to mumbling by the tape still glued firmly across my mouth. He took two long strides over to me and fisted the two arms of the chair then dragged on as he moved backwards making the legs of the steel chair that still had me seated on it screech hard on the marble tied floor with a loud ear displeasing sound that seemed to bother just me as he continued dragging along till he reached the edge of his bed and he sat down on it and faced me intently after rudely snatching off the tape from across my mouth. "I'm gonna make this nice and easy for you only if you cooperate" he declared and dragged the chair further once more till both our knees were touching. "Who sent you?" He demanded and I felt my throat suddenly burn dry and I instantly craved a cold glass of water to flush out whatever dryness that suddenly came upon me. Rule number one of the academy states that never you ever reveal a thing about the Academy and I'll be damned if I say a single word about it. He could try all he can and even torture me to the point of death, my lips shall very well remain sealed. The only words he'll hear are songs of how much I despise him. "Look here, one thing you should know about me is I detest speaking to someone and not get a response. I'm gonna give you your very last chance, Who sent you?" He demanded and I should have been scared for my life but I loved just how pissed off I was getting him so I decided to remain silent just against his wish. The pulsing veins appearing and disappearing at the same pace in which he clenched his teeth together showed me just how well my plan to annoy him further was working. He snatched my jaw in his left hand with his fingers digging into my skin and he pointed the index finger of his other hand straight at me and was about to most assuredly yell some threats at me but his phone started to ring and disrupted the entire process. He let go of me grudgingly and snatched his phone out of his side pocket with a murderous look like he was probably gonna sentence whomever it was on the phone to death by his very own bare hands. "What is it Marco?" He inquired in a strong accent I was only just noticing as I watched his veins run up his hands through his rolled up sleeves. "What?" He yelled out in response to whatever news he just received from his caller and pushed his fingers through his jet black hair severally in frustration and I could only but wonder what exactly was up with the phone call. "Tell the men to stand down and wait for the next order, I'll be on my way right away." He ordered and hung up to face me once more. "I'll be back for you" he concluded and rose to his feet about to leave and I couldn't take it anymore. If he's gonna kill me, he should get done with it already! My one week for the job expired last night and I'm sick and tied of being all tied up. My joints hurts and I can't even stretch my knee nor arms I've been sitting in this exact same position the entire night it feels like I can't use my own two feet, I feel numb. "Wait!" I called out and he paused. "What are you gonna do with me?" I demanded when he turned to face me and remained silent. "You can't just leave me here and go!" I yelled out in total frustration. "You wanna get off that chair don't you?" He inquired like he didn't already know I wanted that. "Yes" I replied simply. Hating and seething at the way I'm being left at his Mercy. "Then it's very simple, just tell me who sent you and off you go" he replied after crouching down a bit so we were eye to eye on the same level that his dark orbs were piercing strongly into mine. What nonsense! Even a child wouldn't believe that. Does he really think I'm...... "Do you actually think I'm stupid?" I replied, voicing out my thoughts and explaining the expression that sat on my face all at once. "Well, you came into my room with a knife so yeah" came his reply. I restrained myself from rolling my eyes at him then I replied "No one sent me". I lied, and his next expression told me he wasn't buying that a single bit. "And you expect me to believe that because?" Came his next question like this was some kind of interrogative session and I hated it. "Because it's the Truth!" I snapped. "Very well then. If you choose to remain prisoner over your freedom In exchange for just a simple little piece of information, I guess your brain doesn't deserve that face of yours one bit" he replied while rising up to his feet and I lifted a brow wondering just exactly what he meant by that statement. "The chair suits you perfectly well though, it's like you were made for each other. You can as well remain on it for as long as you choose to remain silent, I do not mind at all" he added and glided out of the room. I was about to hit my head repeatedly on the chair when the door opened once again and he returned back into the room. This time, paying me no attention as he walked past me and appeared back moments later with a long black coat he threw over himself and complimented the whole look with a matching black hat he placed over his swept back hair and then ventured out once again without a single word to me. I released a sigh and threw my head back then the high white ceilings came into view. I needed to get the hell out of here and being chained here is doing me no good at all. Think Jane, Think! I've had several successful missions in the past and hardly ever recorded a failure this shouldn't be any different. My time allocated for this mission has elapsed and it seems like I've got no way out but I've got to figure out something. And fast! I remained helplessly silent in that position as my eyes met my gun still present underneath the table but my knife was nowhere within sight. I yearned to reach it and send a bullet down the throat of everyone who tried to stop me and then save the final bullet for Antonio. As nice as that idea sounded, I first needed to get out of this damn chair. Curse you Antonio! I wished the general would send someone over to come get me. I imagined Agent Curry appearing in through the window to s***h off my chains and we can both get the hell out of here somehow then I get to plea with the general for a second chance to kill Antonio to settle this score. My imaginations were only growing wider and wider while I still remained at my spot bathing in the sun and I couldn't be more annoyed. My eyes drifted back to his bed once more and I wanted so badly to return to my base at the academy and drop down on my bed. It wasn't half as comfortable as this one looked but for the fact that the bed belonged to the one person behind my sorrows, I wanted nothing to do with it. I heard loud calls downstairs and I only got reminded that the entire place was surrounded by his men in troops and I sighed once again in frustration and closed my eyes firmly. How do I manage to escape this? Just how exactly do I bring myself out of this situation? The harder I thought about it the more impossible it seemed and I settled to stop seeking for a way out and let things happen it's way. I do believe in miracles, now would be a good time to experience one.
