Chapter 3: Midnight Surprise

Shortly after the news appeared, several people from the employer came to Alex's house to look for Tania. They reasoned that Tania disappeared in the fire. Alex invited them to find Tania at his house. They all wore dark glasses to cover their eyes. Their faces looked cold and stiff. Alex didn't know any of them. When they arrived, Alex had prepared combat drones at his home for standby in invisible mode. "Forgive us, Sir. We need to make sure our employee, Tania Angkasa, is still alive or not. For that, let us do a quick scan of your home. We need to record the number of lost, injured, or died in a fire that the company experienced in that accident. If you obstruct an inspection, we can assume you are hiding something dangerous." "Go ahead if you want to inspect my house. I have nothing to hide here. Please do the inspection quickly and carefully. I do not want you to mess up in this house. After all, this area is the private area of the Angkasa family. You certainly won't abuse the kindness that we provide, right?" Alex replied coldly. "Certainly not. Thank you for the permission you gave. We promise not to pollute or damage your property. We will conduct an inspection quickly." "Nice. Matias will accompany your team. Please enter our humble house," replied Alex. Right before the guests arrived, Alex had already taken the necessary action. He had used a protective barrier so that any digital scanner could not detect the secret rooms hidden behind the wall. After walking around from room to room in the Angkasa family's house, officers from the company finally completed their activities. "Are you done?" Alex asked coldly. "Yes, for the time being. We have recorded what we need. Thank you for your cooperation. We said goodbye for now," said the company officer lead. Matias walked them out to the outer gate. He made sure the number of officers leaving was the same as the number of officers who came. After they left, Matias checked the house once more to make sure there were no intruders. The employers returned empty-handed. They gave Tania's belongings to Alex and shortly afterward issued an official statement that Tania died in the accident. Alex tried to call Tania through telepathy, but there was no answer. The device detected that Tania was still alive. There must be a reason why Tania hid. Alex felt the situation this time was more difficult than before. Alex realized that even though Tania had been declared dead, there were always people disguised to watch over his house. It's possible that Alex's house was tapped. Alex tried to remain normal, but secretly Alex began to scan the situation. Instead of turning off the tapping device, Alex lets the tapping device worked in its place. He continued to move normally like a normal day. Alex then provided false information through several scenes that had been recorded to trick the tapper. He had prepared this kind of recording in advance, in anticipation of using this for some reason. Alex's guess was proven. The recording was useful for this situation. Alex still lets some people followed him until they got bored. For several days Alex just went out to spend time eating and buying some household needs. Alex did not take any action to look for Tania physically. Alex knew Tania was fine, at least physically and mentally. If Tania was in pain, Alex could feel it from afar. Alex found out about Tania's location not far from home. Alex knew Tania would be home soon. The first contact from Tania finally arrived. "Alex, I'm coming in 10 minutes. Invisible mode. " Alex swore silently. Tania used to like this. She came carrying a sudden problem. But from the outside, Alex's face looked flat. He called his dogs and whistled slowly. With hidden movement, Alex's dogs activated the buttons to arrange all camouflage to run naturally. The monitor screen from the tap camera showed the tedious activity of jumping dogs following a lonely teenager's whistling. A very tedious job for Joni, an operator in charge of watching suspicious movements from the monitor screen. Joni had been sitting in a narrow space in a caravan car parked on the side of the road for two weeks. What a boring task of watching over this thin, helpless teenager. It was far more interesting if he looked at the latest sports motorwing racing on the monitor screen. Joni hadn't gone home for two weeks. He missed home cooking made by his mom and played with his favorite game. This task was really boring. Tania managed to sneak into the house. Alex opened a secret door that only the two of them knew for 3 seconds. Most people didn't know that this house had many secret spaces that were invisible from the outside. Alex had used his creation technology to create illusory projections covering the hidden part of the house. Alex also built a high technology invisible shield to protect the hidden part. Alex also added a wave transmitter to disrupt brain waves, so disorientation occurred and made the memory blurred. Thus, intruders would naturally stay away from the protected area. Tania looked healthy even though her stomach was slightly bulging. Bruises and wounds appeared in several parts of her body. She looked tired and starved. However, relief was seen from her face when she saw Alex appeared in a secret room. "Alex! Thank God ... I ... it seems that this time I'm really in danger," Tania trembled. Alex offered an energy drink to Tania. In an instant, Tania drank it up. "Tell me in the full story. It seems like this situation is really far beyond the borders of Tania," Alex said coldly. "The experiment succeeded Alex. They experimented with superhumans. They really are still there. They are trying to create a new generation," explained Tania. "And ... what's the connection with all this mess? What's the connection with you, Tania?" "Alex, I love him. I let him go off that damned experiment," Tania said with eyes sparkling. "Who did you release? Superhuman experiment subject?" asked Alex in surprise. Tania nodded, confirming Alex's allegations. "Yes, I released him." "Are you crazy, Tania? They will hunt you to death because you let go of their most important experimental subject!" shouted Alex. Tania shook her head. "No, Alex. They will not hunt me just because of him. " "Then, because of what?" said Alex. Tania looked down and stroked her distended stomach. Alex felt his heartbeat stop for an instant. "Tania ... that is ..." cold sweat ran down Alex's forehead. Fear infiltrated Alex's body, making him shiver in an instant. Tania looked at Alex closely. "This is his child. A more perfect experiment than him. This is my child—your niece. Also, the latest generation of superhuman. This is also your solution. We should hide and protect this baby from them." In the darkness of the night, two people watched the Angkasa family's house from afar. "What are your plans for the baby? Do we need to take it now?" said the first person. He has a bluish eye color that was hidden by sunglasses. "We will see the situation first. We can't be careless," answered the second person. He had green and yellow eye colors, which were also hidden by sunglasses. "The baby is our future." "Yes, I know." "Why don't we take it and raise it?" said the first person, impatient. "Because It’s not the time yet." "If the baby is killed, our race can become extinct. We must protect the baby." "Yes, we must protect it. But not now. Let’s go! Someone is coming." The two figures went hiding in the darkness.
