Deep within the Silverwood Forest, where shadows move like whispers and the trees hold secrets centuries old, the Crescent Moon Pack stands as a sanctuary of power, loyalty, and ancient magic. Led by Alpha Elaine Taylor, a ruler whose wisdom commands respect rather than fear, the pack thrives on unity, vigilance, and a balance of strength and strategy. Every member, from Beta to Gamma, Delta, Omegas, and elders, plays a vital role in maintaining the harmony and safety of the pack. But even the most powerful pack is not immune to change, and destiny has its own plans.

At the centre of this story is Skye Taylor, daughter of Alpha Elaine. Barely sixteen, she is still discovering her place within Crescent Moon. Observing the pack’s warriors, learning from the elders, and understanding the roles of every member, Skye is growing into the strength she will one day inherit. Yet her true journey has not begun. Her senses are stirring, her instincts sharpening, and the threads of fate are quietly weaving around her future.

Skye shares a deep bond with Luis, her childhood friend and son of the Beta. Together they have explored the boundaries of the pack, trained alongside the warriors, and learned the delicate interplay of loyalty, respect, and courage. But Luis is not her only connection to destiny. Phoenix, the disciplined and enigmatic Beta of an allied pack, enters her life months before her eighteenth birthday. And Claude, the son of a long-time ally Alpha, arrives bearing strength, wisdom, and secrets of his own. Each of these young men represents a path, a choice, and a challenge, a test that will shape Skye’s heart and the future of Crescent Moon.

The wolves of this world are majestic, sentient, and independent. Each has a name, personality, and power all its own, but they never roam alongside their human counterparts. Instead, they wait, watching, guiding, and connecting at the precise moment their humans awaken to their bond. When Skye turns eighteen, she will claim her wolf, unlock her full abilities, and gain the extraordinary power to mind-link with not only her pack but also allied packs, a gift beyond even her mother’s reach.

But magic and power come with danger. Rogue wolves, rival packs, and hidden forces stir beyond the borders of Crescent Moon. Every rustle of the leaves, every shadow in the Silverwood, carries the potential for conflict, betrayal, and challenge. The pack must remain vigilant, and Skye must learn to navigate the responsibilities of her lineage, the weight of her choices, and the secrets that have long been hidden.

Shadowed Secrets of the Crescent Moon is a story of love, destiny, and power. It is a journey through the awakening of strength, the bonds of loyalty, and the trials of fate. Through danger, desire, and the pull of three fated mates, Skye will learn that courage and heart are as essential as skill and magic. Readers are invited into a world where every shadow holds a secret, every heartbeat carries warning, and every choice has consequences that will echo through generations.

Step into the Silverwood. Witness the Crescent Moon Pack in all its glory. Follow Skye as she discovers her wolf, her mates, and her destiny. This is a tale of transformation, of awakening, and of a young Alpha in the making, one whose decisions will shape the legend of the Crescent Moon forever.

Chapter 1 – Shadows of the Past
The first thing people always said about me was that I looked like my mother. Same dark, silken hair that caught the silver light of the moon, same piercing blue-grey eyes that could silence a room with a glance. But if you looked closer, really looked, you’d notice the things that weren’t hers. The sharper cut of my jaw, the faint golden tint in my irises when the sun struck them just right. Those belonged to my father, the Alpha’s vanished mate, the man the Crescent Moon Pack still whispered about in half-forgotten conversations. I was sixteen now, and though I stood tall for my age, I wasn’t yet the Alpha my mother expected me to become. My wolf still slept inside me, silent and waiting. We all knew the rule: at eighteen, the shift would come, and with it, the truth of who we were meant to be. Until then, I was simply Skye Taylor, heir of Crescent Moon, daughter of Alpha Elaine, and the girl who carried her father’s ghost like a shadow. “Skye!” I turned as Luis jogged up the stone steps of the pack house, his hair sticking out in every direction as though he’d just rolled out of bed. He always had that boyish grin plastered across his face, the one that made half the girls in the pack sigh, and the elders shake their heads. Luis was only a few weeks older than me, but he carried himself with a quiet confidence that belied his age. His hazel eyes glinted green in the morning light, and when he smiled at me, I couldn’t help but smile back. “You’re late,” I teased, crossing my arms. “You’re early,” he shot back, slightly breathless. “Your mother’s already in the training yard, and Marcus looks like he’s about to eat someone alive. I didn’t want it to be me.” I snorted, glancing over the sprawling grounds that spread beyond the pack house. The Crescent Moon Pack wasn’t the largest in Silverwood, but it was one of the oldest. The pack house itself stood as proof of that, stone walls draped in ivy, massive oak doors, wide balconies that overlooked the training fields. It wasn’t just a house; it was the heart of our people. Every rank, from the highest warrior to the youngest pup, found shelter within its walls. Luis and I walked side by side toward the training yard, where shouts and the clang of wooden weapons already rang out. My gaze swept over the familiar faces of our warriors. The Gamma, Rowan, stood in the centre, his arms folded like twin tree trunks across his chest. He was a tall, broad man with auburn hair and a scar that cut across his cheek, a scar he never spoke of. His presence alone demanded discipline. Beside him, pacing with the intensity of a storm, was Marcus, our Beta. He was Luis’s father, though anyone could have guessed that from the resemblance. Marcus was a man carved of stone, his expression rarely soft, his posture a constant reminder that he was once the best friend of my missing father. When my father vanished, Marcus had stepped into the Beta role without question, serving Elaine with unwavering loyalty. Some whispered he carried guilt for not protecting his Alpha’s mate, but Marcus never spoke of it, and no one dared to ask. Then there was the Delta, Kael. He was younger than both Marcus and Rowan, his dark hair tied back, his lean build made for speed rather than brute strength. If Marcus was the shield and Rowan the hammer, Kael was the arrow. He had a sharp wit to match his sharp eyes, and though he outranked most, he never carried himself with arrogance. “About time,” Rowan growled as Luis, and I approached. His scarred face twisted into what might have been disapproval, or amusement. With Rowan, it was hard to tell. “Sorry, Gamma,” Luis said quickly, ducking his head. Rowan’s gaze lingered on me for a moment longer before he gave a curt nod. “Your mother’s waiting.” I found her at the far end of the yard, her voice carrying with the effortless authority only an Alpha possessed. Elaine Taylor was a force of nature, elegant, commanding, yet never cruel. The pack loved her not out of fear but respect, and I admired her more than anyone. Still, there were days I felt crushed beneath the weight of being her daughter, the heir who was supposed to live up to her impossible legacy. She noticed me immediately, her expression softening in a way it never did for anyone else. “Skye,” she called, her voice carrying warmth that made my chest ache. “Mother.” I bowed my head slightly in respect before joining her side. Her hand brushed my arm, a fleeting gesture of affection before her attention returned to the warriors. “The Crescent Moon must remain strong,” she reminded them. “Not because we seek war, but because strength keeps peace.” I listened, my heart swelling with pride. But beneath that pride was always the ache of absence. My father should have been standing here, at her side. He should have been here to teach me what it meant to lead. Instead, all I had were fragments, stories whispered by the elders, the way Marcus’s eyes sometimes darkened when my father’s name was mentioned, the echo of a bond broken too soon. Luis nudged me gently, his voice low. “You’re doing that thing again.” “What thing?” “Thinking too hard. Looking like you’re about to set the whole yard on fire.” I elbowed him lightly, but a smile tugged at my lips. He’d always been able to pull me back when the weight of expectation threatened to bury me. That was Luis, my best friend, my constant. And though we never said it aloud, both of us carried the unspoken hope that when eighteen came, the Moon Goddess would bind us together as mates. It was a hope that made my chest warm and terrifying all at once. The session ended with Elaine’s voice ringing out like a bell. The warriors dispersed, and my mother gave me a knowing glance before turning back toward the pack house. She didn’t need to say it, I knew what she expected. I was to follow in her footsteps, to train harder, to be sharper, to prove worthy of the title that awaited me. As the crowd thinned, I glanced at Marcus. For just a second, his eyes caught mine, unreadable and heavy with something I couldn’t name. Then he turned away, speaking quietly with Rowan and Kael. Luis leaned closer. “Sometimes I think they forget we’re just kids.” I laughed softly, though it was hollow. “We don’t have the luxury of being just kids.” The wind stirred through the training yard, carrying the faintest whisper of something ancient. It prickled at the back of my neck, sharp and strange, as though the world itself had drawn a breath. I shook it off, blaming my imagination. But deep inside, something stirred. Faint. Silent. Waiting. And though I didn’t know it yet, that moment was the first ripple of a storm that would change everything.
