The pain, I couldn’t even begin to describe it. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced before in my life. As I’d convulsed, my bones breaking, cracking, moving, Blaze’s voice in the background, his touch soothing me, the voice inside my head had spoken trying to comfort me, encouraging me through the process and apologetic about the whole thing. Not that it was her fault or anything. I didn’t blame her for this. It was inevitable. But by god, there could have been a far better time for it to happen!
