ZEVA’S POV I was awakened when the bed we were sleeping in suddenly moved. I slowly peeled up my eyes and lift my body up and check what’s going on. I was frightened when I saw someone who was holding Keira and covered her mouth to muffle her voice. She was really squirming to free herself from the guy’s grasp. I couldn’t properly see the face of that person since they wore a hooded coverall. All I could see clearly was their silhouette. But I can really tell that the attacker was a man with his body build and standing posture. I need to transform now! I was about to do that when something suddenly hit me. I got thrown and collided on the wall. The guy got me! Damn! I immediately, unleashed my real power and changed my appearance altogether. I saw how surprised Keira was when I transformed, judging with her reaction upon seeing me in this state. I dashed towards him and attempted to blow him away but he just jumped and dodged my incoming attack. He stood near the window while still holding Keira tightly. Keira stepped on his feet that actually surprised the guy. He lost grip to Keira in which she took the chance immediately escaping from him and ran towards me. But before Keira could even get away completely, the guy caught her arms and pulled her back towards him. The guy’s fist glowed as a magic circle appeared atop it and punched Keira hard to her body. Keira groaned and lost balance making her lean to the guy’s shoulders and fell unconscious. I immediately jumped towards the attacker. I won’t let him escape and take Keira with him! He lifted his hands and pointed it towards me. A glowing magic circle emerged again atop his palm and his magic blasted me off to the other side of the building. What an incredible magic power, I didn’t seriously expect that coming. That whole part of the building was almost totally destroyed by his magic. The man stood and looked down to me from there while carrying Keira on his shoulders. “Zeva! Go inform Asleif, I’ll hold him here for the meantime, until you return with him!” Lady Sherilo yelled on the other side. She then, jumped through the window to face the attacker. I immediately spread my wings and flew at my top most speed towards where Asleif could be. I hope I can make it in time, and prevent them from getting Keira. As I looked back, I saw the man was already surrounded by many students and professors of the academy, together with Lady Sherilo. I need to move faster now! SHERILO’S POV The man who abducted Keira ceased running upon realizing that the students and other professors had cornered him. We immediately surrounded him and force him to surrender with our numbers. “Leave that lady here and now if you still want to get out in this school,” I stepped towards the center near the man. He faced towards me. “What a joke…” A large magic circle suddenly appeared on the ground where he was standing. It suddenly flashed so bright that I was forced to cover my eyes from the blinding light it illuminated. All the students and professors were suddenly blown away after that. They all sprawled to the ground after being hit by something. What the hell happened? “You don’t stand a chance…” He smirked. “Really? Who are you? Why don’t you show us your face!” I exclaimed. “There’s no need…” He replied. I bent my knees and solidified my balance when he raised his hands again. A sudden strong force hit me and threatened to blow me away. What a strong magic force! I planted one of my knees on the ground and lifted one of my hand on high guard. I placed my palm on the ground and casted a magic spell with it. “Plant Circles!” I chanted. A glowing green magic circle emerged on the ground. And with that, several trees and vines rose from the ground and interwoven themselves to create a strong barrier to defend myself from being blown away. After his strong magic subsided, I dispelled my defense magic. “Vine Whip!” I chanted again. This time, several thick vines had risen from the ground and entangled the man. I immediately extracted Keira from him using the magic and brought her to me. I grabbed her with my two arms and gently laid her on the ground. I scanned her body to check what happened to her. I could only sigh in relief after realizing that she was just unconscious and still breathing. “Silly… do you really think I could be stopped with only this?” He chuckled. The vines that entangled him were suddenly destroyed. I stood up and walked away from Keira to avoid her getting caught up in my fight. A student approached and attended Keira while I fight this man. “Lady Sherilo!” the group of students and teachers called me. I could only smile seeing them well after that attack. They charged altogether towards the man and after reaching the certain distance, they halted and concentrated all their magic attacks towards the man who was standing at the center. They rained down all the magic they could use to bring him down. They ceased casting their magic and we all stood still gazing towards the man’s direction. The area where he stood earlier was covered with dust and smokes now after that concentration of our attacks. Did we get him with that? A few seconds later, the dust and smokes started to subside and the got clear gradually. I balled my fists upon seeing him standing and smiling like nothing happened. The concentration of our attacks was enough to dug a huge hole on the ground where he stood but we weren’t able to even scratch him a single bit. Just what is this man made of? What is his magic? “Lady Sherilo…” I turned around and saw Keira who just barely got her consciousness back. She was pressing her head and her face showed that she was in pain. She stood up and slowly walked towards me. “Stay there! Don’t get close here!” I yelled. She ceased moving upon hearing me. “B–but…” She made a worried face. “Just stay there and wait for both Zeva and Asleif to return here.” I said. “I don’t want to sit idly! I will also fight! I can use my healing magic and heal all of your wounds and damages.” she replied. “If you do that, you’ll drain yourself Keira!” I said. She was really stubborn. She attempted to get closer to us again but I casted my plant magic and held her feet with my vines. “Let me go Lady Sherilo! Just let me help in my own way…” She squirmed and tried to get off from the vines that held her. “If you really want to help then stay there and wait for them!” I exclaimed. She was about to protest again but I had a vine that wrapped around her mouth to prevent from saying anything. She’ll just protest endlessly and we’ll end up debating instead of dealing with this enemy. She squirmed and tried all her strength to free herself from the vines. I heard the explosions and loud bangs from the students and teacher’s attacks to the enemy. The place was illuminated by all sorts of colors upon the different magic spells thrown to the enemy. As I face where they were fighting, I was surprised when the group of students and teachers were almost wiped out now. While the enemy hasn’t even budged from where he stood. “Damn! What a monster!” I muttered to myself. I was surprised again when a familiar magic spell illuminated around the students and teachers. This magic, don’t tell me! I returned my gaze to Keira and saw her serious face. She extended her two arms forward and a magic circle appeared on them. She was using her healing magic to our allies. Bullets of sweat formed in her face. I turned faced the enemy once again. She wouldn’t be able to heal everyone, since she wasn’t that strong yet and her mana reserves are still low. And on top of that, we are too many for her to handle alone. I dashed towards the enemy and casted a magic spell. A whip gleamed and materialized beside me. I grabbed it immediately and after reaching a good distance I attacked him using that whip. He just caught it with his hands with unbelievable ease and pulled me towards him. I lost my sense of balance and as I was forcefully pulled towards him. He then aimed his palm to me accompanied with the emergence of a magic circle on it. “Goodbye Sherilo.” He smirked. “NO! GET AWAY THERE, LADY SHERILO!” I heard the teachers and students shouted. Keira suddenly screamed. It was obvious in her scream that she was trying really hard to amass her magic power and concentrate all her mana. “No… Stop it Keira, you can’t still handle that…” I muttered to myself. “HEAVENLY BODY MAGIC…” Keira said, while trembling and trying to stabilize the magic spell. “SE–SEVEN… STAR SWORDS!” Keira chanted. The man in front of me was pretty amused on seeing Keira using the spell. “OH! I see! So, I was actually right after all. I was in doubt if I really got the real deal because she was really weak. But you saved me from all the drag and here she is using that magic. That just seals the deal. But too bad, it looks like she’s having a hard time using that spell…” Before I completely got close to the man and get hit by his magic, something suddenly flew past me at breakneck speed. Seven glowing sword-like shape magic attacks just got past me and were headed towards the enemy. The enemy took a direct hit with that attack and the magic spell exploded with him. I crashed facedown to the ground after the man lost grip to my whip. Finally, he budged where he was standing and taken two steps backward and bent down. I hope we got him this time and damaged him greatly. “Not bad… but too bad, that’s still not enough.” the enemy yelled. He grinned and a bit of blood leaked on his mouth. I brought my gaze back to Keira. She fell to her knees now and was really trembling while catching her breath. She overused her magic again. I suddenly felt a strong blow towards me and I was sent flying. The enemy kicked me away from him. My head was now spinning. My vision began to distort as I started coughing blood. But I got no time to stay down, right now! I locked my gaze to the enemy and dashed towards him. I threw combination of punches and kicks to him but he just masterfully dodged and deflected my attacks. I used my plant whip again and tried to hit with that. Again, he easily caught it with his bare hands and pulled me forcibly towards him. But I wouldn’t get caught to same tactics twice. As we closed the gap to each other, I launched my feet to him and successfully hit him straight to his face. He lost grip to my plant whip and was sent flying backwards. He crashed on the ground. As he stood up, I immediately launched myself towards him and reloaded my attacks. He took a direct hit with my punch straight to his face. He was taken aback again, but instead of getting blown away, he planted one of his feet to his rear solidifying his stance and threw a counter to my body. I was sent flying upwards. But I managed not to crash on the ground by flipping my body a few times before landing on the ground with both of my feet. “I guess, I should deal with you first as quickly as possible so no one will stand in front of me anymore.” he said. “You’re taking me too lightly!” I snorted. “No… that’s not it, I just know my capabilities well. And the difference in our powers were just simply wide.” He smirked. My eyes grew wide upon realizing he was already very close in front of me. He gave me that ominous smile that had a strong sense of bloodlust. What speed! So fast! I didn’t have enough time to react when I didn’t notice him closing our distance. He threw a hard blow to my abdomen. I was blown away with that attack crashing to the ground and rolled a few times. I managed to anchor my body with one of my knees on the ground. But then he was already in front of me again. He closed our distances with unbelievable speed. I was about to pull a counter to his attack and use his momentum to add power to my counter but, he suddenly vanished in front of me. I was surprised when he suddenly appeared behind me and kicked me hard. I crashed face down on the ground. “Damn it all! Why are you boys so bothersome?” I whispered. I trembled as I tried my best to frame my body up. Blood foamed out of my mouth and started coughing. He marched towards me, grinning. He was about to grab me when I pulled off a sudden quick move. I’ve been waiting for this! I finally caught you off guard! It was clear that he was surprised when I suddenly vanished in front of him. He darted his eyes at random trying to figure out where I am. Perfect! I appeared above him and used the falling momentum to raise the power of my axe kick, hitting him on his head. He crashed face down to the ground. My combination doesn’t end with that, without giving him space to counter I dashed towards him and kicked him hard. He was sent flying upwards. I casted my magic and held him using my vines and pulled him down with all my strength in order to slam him to the ground. Because he was still entangled on my vine. I lifted him up using my magic and spun him around, again to build power. I slammed him back and forth on the ground until he wasn’t moving anymore. I released my magic and fell on my knees. I almost used up all my strength, I trembled, unable to lift a single finger anymore. My vision began to distort and my breathing became really heavy. KEIRA’S POV Asleif and Zeva suddenly arrived, and landed behind me. Asleif helped me to stand, and assisted me to sit atop of Zeva’s back. He then turned his back to me and headed to Lady Sherilo. But she stopped Asleif and shook her head. My brows met after seeing her stopping Asleif on helping her. “Leave now immediately… take Keira away from here Asleif, she’s the enemy’s target!” Lady Sherilo yelled. “But…” “Now go! I’m counting on you Asleif! Keep her safe always!” Lady Sherilo ordered as she stood. They locked gazes for a bit and then I saw Asleif nodding to Lady Sherilo. He immediately returned to our direction and mounted Zeva and sat behind me. “NO!” I screamed. I attempted to get off from Zeva but Asleif grabbed my arms and prevented me from going. Zeva immediately spread his wings and flew away as fast as he could. “No! Bring me back there! Let’s help Lady Sherilo!” I squirmed and kept hitting Asleif. We brought our gazes behind us, to Lady Sherilo who were smiling at us. We were all surprised when a straight beam of light flashed straight to her. She took a direct hit with it and the beam went through her chest. “NOOOOO!” I screamed. And saw Lady Sherilo drop on the ground. Zeva flew faster away from the place. The last thing I saw was Lady Sherilo was already laying flat on the ground and the enemy suddenly vanished. My chest suddenly became so tight that I had trouble breathing. My eyes went to blur as tears went down from it. It can’t be. She couldn’t be possibly dead!
