Chapter 13 Kenna Dakota barely left his room for days. He didn’t want to see anyone, nor did he entertain the notion of going on a hunt. He allowed no one but Kenna in, and even then, their interactions were brief. He seemed pale, often lit only by the screen of his laptop or a single lamp. And what’s more, he maintained a drugged-out expression any time he managed to stay awake. Having apparently resupplied while in Minnesota, he hit the sedative pretty damn hard, sometimes nodding off in the middle of a conversation or while watching a movie on his computer. Facing all that, Kenna had plenty to worry about. But by the end of the fourth day, he seemed much more lucid.
