“Son, your mate is remarkable.” Dad looked at me with pride as soon as Wilona took the call.
“Yes, she is, and more.” I replied with a grin, watching her pace while talking on the phone. I paused my gaze at her, then looked at dad. “So, any news on the wolf in the northern territory?” I leaned on the chair, fixing my hair tie, securing my ponytail.
“If it’s your uncle, we will never find him.” He replied with an annoyed sigh.
I was about to respond when everything happened in slow motion. Wilona stumbled backwards, letting go of her phone, and it flew into the pool.
My reaction was late as I jumped up from the chair and raced towards her. I caught her in my arms, but I lost balance and we plunged into the water.
