This was after Konrad told Gillian to get out of his car when he was rushing to the airport...
I paced my room, waiting for him to come back from wherever he was rushing to. Chewing on the tip of my hair, thinking. Who does he think I am? If I didn’t know better, I would think that he is avoiding me. But why? Are we not supposed to be mates? How do even mates feel about each other? I tangled my hair in my fingers and pulled with frustration because no one will answer my questions. Or maybe I should just go seduce that old crock to get all the answers.
