The Journey Called Life

Episode 1

There is a young man named Paul who was born as a twin through a family that fed from hand to mouth and it was really tough for his family when things started getting worst. He lost his twin brother to malnutrition due to lack of money to buy food and medicine.

Paul's family lived in a house within a ghetto area without roof and without windows, they had to use some fabric materials to cover the windows but no matter how hard they tried the rain will still drop inside the house. There was no food to eat but only drank boiled water to keep the stomach warm and this went on for more than six months.

Paul never had the opportunity to enjoy what other kids are enjoying but he never bothered about that because he loves education despite the situation on ground.

He goes to school with torn uniform and bad sandals without school bag to carry his books but he was really intelligent and never cared about how he looks or what people say about him.

Paul went through various punishment in school daily, due to his inability to provide some practical materials as the school required from him and all this was going on, he never mentioned it to his parents inorder not to bother them with his problems instead he carried the burden alone and continue to study very hard to be on top in his class.

As time goes on, his father got a job that can feed the family and rent a good apartment after so many years of searching for a job. When his father came home and break the news, everyone was excited and it was celebrated like an important feast.

Paul's younger brother who has been suffering from various sickness for more than three years was taken to the hospital to know what is wrong with him until it was found out that he has a kidney failure and needs a kidney transplant immediately and a huge sum of money was required to carry out the operation but it was too late because he later died the next day at 2am after several attempt to save his life.

Paul was so special and attracted so much attention to himself while in primary school in the sense that, he is always at the top of his class and he was selected to participate in the upcoming debate competition as one of the primary five pupils.

He represented the school so well on that day and he was given awesome prizes and when he got home, he showed his gifts and his parents were so proud of him and encouraged him to continue to focus and excel.

Paul and his family moved to another state after the burial of his younger brother and done with his First School Leaving Certificate Examination which means he has to go to a new school starting with Junior Secondary class and making new friends. 

Despite the change of things, he never stopped excelling in his class until one day he was asked to meet with one of his teachers and he was wondering why? Because he has never offend anyone before or fight with anyone before but he summon courage and meet with the teacher who then told him that he will be representing the school in the state competition as the only Junior Student going with the other three Senior Students and he was surprised and excited. He went home and break the news to his parents and his father was so proud to have him as a son who focus nothing more than excelling in anywhere he find himself.

After some days, weeks, and months of the state competition, Paul and the Senior students of his school emerge as the winner of the contest, they came back to the school with the trophy and the entire school celebrated with them.

Paul was the favorite student to all his teachers who wanted him around to assist in any way to make the school going forward.

Paul wrote the Junior Secondary Certificate Examination and he did so well, his father decided they should move to another state where he began his Senior Secondary School and he still continue to excel and when he was in Senior Secondary School II, he was appointed as the Senior Prefect which has never happened before because nobody gets a prefect position without being a student in that school from Junior Secondary but Paul was an extraordinary student that nobody can turn down. His administration has brought peace to the school and the students obeys his rules.

During his secondary school days, after school he will go and work to have some money to buy school materials to study for his upcoming Senior Secondary Certificate Examination and his parents never knew about the job he was doing and his father begin to wonder why he never asked him for anything but his siblings does all the time.

Paul kept on pushing and pushing without distractions and he never had friends even when they try to force him to practice dangerous acts, he turned them down and remain focused unlike some kids will fall for such material things of life and miss their way of greatness.

After he finally wrote the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, he enroll to study computer technology and he was excellent at it and he was given the opportunity to teach other students about computer technology.

The result of the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, was released and Paul again excel, he began to prepare for the university after writing different examinations in different schools he finally got admission and there was no money for him to begin but he went with his bag to the school not knowing where to stay because he was full of determination without fear.

Paul went to the school with his luggage and stood for hours thinking of what to do until he saw someone and told him about his problem of not having shelter and this stranger accepted him into his home and that was how he started studying without good cloths, food and care but still he never cared about that.

Paul went into the market and began to carry goods bought by various business men and women on his head to their destination inorder to have some money to buy textbooks and pay his school fees but his parents never knew about all these.

One day, he received a call that he is wanted for reporting the HOD of his department to the Vice Chancellor for extortion, immediately Paul dropped the goods on his head and a taxi to school to meet the HOD and let him know he is innocent of this accusation. After all his pleas, the HOD never believed whatever he is saying.

Paul prayed for days, weeks and months, before God intervened and he was vindicated, the people who accused him wrongly were dealth with and the HOD apologize to him and they became best of friends.

Paul finally graduated with amazing grade and began to explore for greater opportunities but it wasn't easy for him because he searched for jobs more than three years before getting the one that couldn't take care of his welfare not to talk of taking care of his family.

Paul suffered trying to make income for himself and all he could get was insults to the extent that he couldn't bear it anymore, but something came to his mind which he realize that he has a great destiny and he must achieve what he is determined to achieve no matter what life throw at him, and he continue to work harder.

Paul later lost his Dad to high blood pressure and he weep for so long before getting over it, he thought about his plans for his late father but it didn't happen because he is no more and he continue his journey of  searching for a better job inorder to have a better life, settled down and take care of his mother.

Suddenly, a call from one of the multi national company requested for his presence in order to check his potentials before giving him a job he applied for a year ago. 

After the examination and interview, Paul got the job with a mouth watery offer that he can't refuse and so his life began. He went home full of joy after so many interviews and examinations, he secured a job that will put food on his table. 

Paul is a young man full of energy and dreams that is why he always thrive to achieve his target no matter the circumstances surrounding him.
