CHAPTER FORTY-NINE The last round of the first day. Peter and Sarah stand out at the perimeter line. The breeze gives relief from yet another hot afternoon. Sarah’s corset clings to her wet skin. Peter wipes the itching sweat from the nape of his neck before it soaks into the edge of his short stiff doublet collar. His hair shines from the small amount of sweat in it. Nodin walks out onto the Field. “Good afternoon!
