Chapter 14Jorge picked them up at the airport. Luca’s breathing was labored all the way home. Dennis put him to bed with hot tea, Irish whiskey, and lemon plus Tylenol for his fever, then went down to his studio to call Luca’s brother, Tony.
It was after ten, but Tony picked up right away. “Hello, Luca?”
“No, it’s Dennis. Luca has a very bad chest cold that came on so suddenly that we left Hawaii early. His breathing is labored.” Dennis paced.
“What did you do for him?” Tony asked, instantly alert.
“I gave him a hot toddy and Tylenol and came downstairs to call you. I want to take him to the emergency room, but I know he’s going to balk when I suggest it. What do you think I should do?”
“Give the phone to my brother, he’s going to the emergency room, he may have pneumonia.”
