After training Lindsey, Zane, and I head back to the pack house. We’re laughing and joking with each other on the way when suddenly Lindsey mindlinks me.
Zane keeps checking you out! I think he’s got it bad girl!
I glance behind me and sure enough his eyes are on me. He smirks at me and I roll my eyes.
“So Zane when are you going to start looking for your mate?” I ask while I innocently smile at Zane. A mixture of emotions cross his face before he answers, the main one being anger.
“I don’t want a mate.”
“Well that’s something you two have in common haha!” Lindsey says while laughing. “But if you don’t want a mate, who will be luna?”
“I have someone in mind,” he says while looking up at the sky. Lindsey and I look at each other with puzzled expressions. Zane looks at us and says, “Well I guess I’d better go help get everything ready for this meeting. See you beautiful ladies later!”
We watch as he walks into the pack house. I look over and see Lindsey checking him out as he goes. This girl is ridiculous.
“Well I’m gonna go shower. Do you want to meet up for lunch and go to Pops?” I ask her.
“Sounds good!” She says.
We both walk into the pack house and head to our rooms. On the way I see my dad talking with one of the warriors with a stern expression on his face. I walk up to give him a hug.
“Hey princess, how was training?” Dad ask.
“It was good! Is everything okay?”
He nods his head. “Of course hun, just making sure there is extra security for the meeting tomorrow.”
“Oh okay. Well Lindsey and I are going out to Pops later for lunch so if you need me that’s where I’ll be,” I tell him.
“Alright. Just you two be careful,” he says and gives me another hug.
“Always!” I say and turn to head to my room.
I take a quick shower and change into some ripped jeans and a white tank top. I put on a pair of brown sandals and go to sit at my desk. I curl my hair and apply some mascara, blush, and lip gloss before heading out the door.
I meet Lindsey in the main room. She’s wearing a green sundress that makes her eyes pop and flip flops. She’s incredibly beautiful but refuses to acknowledge it.
“My car or yours?” I ask her.
“Yours obviously!” She says.
“Haha I figured you’d say that!”
