Alpha Rey pov

I was keeping an eye on Jenni she doesn't come and go without my knowing, I also have Brandy with her at all times, Brandy is my cousin, she offered to do this, she wanted to get to know Jenni better, maybe she can figure out why her wolf has gold eyes instead of Hazel like the rest of us, I told her not to tell her that i am the king of wolves, I wanted her to fall for me not because of the power,

“How will you know how she feels about you if you don't tell her the truth?

If she finds out on her own, then what? she's going to be more mad at you for not telling her yourself,” s**t, I knew she was right. I knew I had to tell her. But how, I knew she would be looking at her neck, she thought it was odd that it was only painful for a few seconds, taking a deep breath, i mindlinked her and told her to come to my office, we needed to talk, I hated it when she kept me waiting, but she kept me waiting for three hours, I was about to get my ass up and head to her room, I was standing up about to head there when she walked into the room, s**t she was my luna my queen, I can't get mad at her for not knocking, I needed to stand anyways my legs were getting numb by sitting there most of the day doing paperwork,

“Please have a seat, I need to speak with you about a few things, “ moving away from the door, instead of sitting she stood by the window looking out at the woods, Closing the door, walking over to her, I stood there looking out the window with her, the silence was comfortable until she turned around to look at me,

‘So, you wanted me here so we could talk. Have you made up your mind about rejecting me to save your pack? Or are you going to keep me captive?” When she asked that I rolled my eyes,

“Listen, you need to forget about me rejecting you. Once King marked you and you had marked me, it was a done deal. But I didn't call you in here to talk about rejection or the marking, I need to tell you something about myself,”

‘What, that your really the king of wolves, that you are the most powerful wolf in the country,” She started laughing like she felt like this was all a joke, but when she didn't see me laughing with her, her mouth dropped open like she figured it out and she didn’t see this coming at all,

“Are you freaking serious? I was just joking , Rey, Why the h3ll didn't you tell me this when I found you in that damn wolf trap?”

"Because, if you remember Jenni, I was in a damn wolf trap, and I had to have my leg worked on.

Then, before I knew it, you tried to run away, and then King marked you and vice versa. When would I have time to tell you when you wouldn’t even listen to me. Are you listening now?” Her mouth opened than she closed it, it happened a few times before she sat down in a chair with her head in her hands,

“I am not ready for this, Rey,

Iam not ready to be queen, For crying out loud, i want to be a damn doctor, i have seven months to go, This is my dream to become a doctor,” Any other female would jump at the chance of becoming powerful, But Jenni, She wants to become a doctor, I was so proud of her, I leaned down to my knees to be in front of her, I held onto her hands kissing both of them,

“You can be queen and a doctor, i won’t take being a doctor away from you Jenni, this is your dream, what i don't want you to do is run away from me again, When Simon comes we will deal with that, I won't let him take you away from me,” I heard the office phone ringing, s**t, Who would be calling right in the middle of an important conversation, Getting up from my knees i answered it putting it on speaker, Who ever it is, Jenni needs to hear as well she is my luna and queen, even though we have a contract, i hope she just wants to toss it away and just start over,

This is Rey. How can I help you today?” I didn't want to say King Rey because i wanted Jenni to get use to the idea first, She watched as I sat into the chair next to her, I held onto her hand waiting for the person to speak, I didn't think it would be the very person that Jenni wants to run from,

“Yes, You can help me by giving up my mate, i chose her a long time ago, I told her never run from me again, And look what she had done, She will be highly punished for what she has done, Do you hear me, Give her up or i will destroy your pack, I will come with fire torches and burn all the houses down.” I wanted to laugh, Soon I will take the magic away so Jenni could see the castle, This a$$hole seriously thinks he is messing with just a regular alpha,

‘I want you to listen to me carefully, I want you to open your big a$$ ears, so you can hear me clearly, Simon. Jenni is my mate. You will never lay a hand on my mate. Do you hear me,” Jenni squeezed my hand. She linked me

“Please just let me say a few words to him, I promise I will not run from you.” I nodded. I knew she wanted to talk to him, I just didn't know about what. But I nodded as I heard him laughing.

“Simon, is that really you? This is Jenni, I never wanted to be with you. I know that you can hear me clearly, I was never yours, but you made everyone leave me alone so i would be a lone and depend on you, but i never did want to be with you, you chased everyone away that I ever cared about, I know you killed your father, And now you threaten me,

I ran because I wanted to.

Because your father helped me to get away from you, If you come for me Simon, you will die, im done running away,” We heard him laugh than said,

"You have been warned,

Alpha Rey, you have been warned Jenni, if you do not come to me within two months, then I'm coming for you, you won't want your friend Penny hurt, do you?”

“Dude, I don't even know a Penny, There were a few Penny's at the old pack but i never spoke to them, they were either to busy or working, but nice try a$$hole, I tell you what, you heard what I said, I was never yours, I never wanted to be yours, come for me and you will die,”

‘And you heard what I had said, two months and I will come for you, no matter where you run to, I will find you, and the punishment will be worse when I do. He hung the phone up, Jenni stood up, saying,

‘He has always been a fuc/king a##hole, i could never stand him, if he comes, i have ways to end up, and it's not at all nice, im done running, i won't play his game,
