Ella's POV
Watching Damien destroy the tracker, it felt like my world was spinning, because even when I tried to take a deep breath hoping that would centre me and calm me down a bit. But it seemed impossible because it felt like I was being held underwater with no way of getting air into my lungs.
I didn't know when I started shaking until I felt Damien's hands being wrapped around me.
'' I am sorry for the horrors you have been through and I am sorry that I was part of it. I promise to protect you and keep you far away from them,'' Damien let out.
And somehow his words calmed me down a bit.
'' I don't deserve this, I don't deserve to be chased down like an animal,'' I whispered, and Damien nodded.
'' You are right, I will try my best to fix everything. But we need to keep going
