Silence took over the atmosphere, as none of us said a word to each other. I could hear Damien's heartbeat beating so loudly in my ears that I wondered what he was thinking about right now.
'' Was I wrong asking him about this past?'' I asked myself as I quickly stole a glance at Damien, who looked like he was in a world of his own.
'' He looked so sad and I knew it was because of my question,'' I said to myself.
But I think it was right for me to have to ask because it felt like I was in love with a man that I barely knew.
The only truth I knew about Damien was his name, and if you ask me, that wasn't fair.
But I didn't want to push it, I didn't want to push him.
I trust him, so I believed he was going to open up to me on his own time.
