After hours of riding the bus, Emily finally arrived at the New York terminal, her heart pounding with anticipation.
Emily: "Finally, I'm here."
Stepping off the bus, she scanned the bustling terminal, searching for a familiar face.
Carla: "Hey, bestie! I'm so happy you're here."
Emily: "Carla! I've missed you."
With smiles on their faces, they embraced each other, the warmth of their friendship filling the air.
Carla: "Let's head home so you can rest."
Taking Emily's bag, they made their way out of the terminal and onto the busy streets of New York.
Emily: "I can't wait to see our apartment."
Carla: "It's not far from here. We can walk."
After a short walk, they arrived at their apartment building. Carla opened the door, welcoming Emily into their new home.
Carla: "This is your room, Em. You'll love the view of New York from your window. Get some rest, we have work tonight."
Emily: "Thank you, Carla. I really appreciate it. I'll take a nap before we head out."
Carla: "Sounds like a plan. See you later."
As Carla left Emily alone in her new room, Emily couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and determination.
Emily: "This is a new place, a new beginning for me. I need to work hard for my family."
With a sigh of contentment, she placed her bag on the chair and settled into bed, letting the exhaustion of her journey lull her into a peaceful sleep.
