I could see the shock and surprise on her face when I asked her to pas the night over at my place. Perhaps, she was shocked I was offering her to sleep at my place, right on my bed. I could not understand why she looked surprised. It wasn’t the first time after all.
“I… I should… “ She stuttered as she stood still on the same spot. She didn’t utter a word after that as she just stared at me like I was a ghost.
“Yes. You should have some sleep now” I informed her and then concentrated on what I was doing. The earlier she slept, the better it would be for me as I would not have enough time to concentrate on the map I was studying.
I needed to protect her as I knew she would be of so much help to me. I needed her to catch whoever the culprit was for me.
