"Are you okay?" Sheila asked me worriedly. We were both in the kitchen going through our morning chores but I somehow felt out of it today. I don't know if it was the weather talking or the fact that Kiara had reprimanded me earlier.
"I'm fine Sheila." I replied casually and set out to do the dishes but she held my hands and stopped my movements.
"Talk to me Adelaide." She pressed on "What's wrong. You've been out of it ever since you woke up this morning. Did something happen last night that I should know about?"
"I'm fine Sheila. And no, nothing happened" I lied. If I should tell Sheila that I had been scolded by Kiara, it would only make matters worse because then, she would ask what had happened and how will I explain it to her that I slept in the king's bedroom last n
