CHAPTER 6 – THE EINHERJARErik grabbed Thor’s arm in terror when he saw the two wolves. They looked hungry, like they could attack anyone and anything.
Thor sensed the dread in Erik’s firm grip and followed his gaze. When he saw the two wolves, he laughed loudly. “Oh, that’s why! Relax!” he said. “It is just Odin’s wolves, Geri and Freki. They are always very curious. They won’t hurt you, well they won’t eat you, at least. And they can’t be that hungry, because Odin shares whatever he eats with the two beasts. They are probably just happy to see me home again, just watch,” Thor said and hopped out of the chariot.
The two horses, now frolicking around on the meadow like spring foals, didn’t seem to be scared of the wolves either, which reassured Erik a little.
