CHAPTER 11 – IDUN’S APPLESErik slept well that night. He had fallen asleep at the table, after eating more food than he could ever remember eating before. Thor had carried him into a bedroom, placed him on a large bed filled with straw, and placed a warm, fur blanket over him. Erik had a faint recollection of it when he was woken up the next morning by the light coming in through a large, open window. The house was still and Erik enjoyed the peace and quiet. He curled up in the straw and tried to remember all the things he had seen the previous day. As he lay there, things gradually came back to him: the lightning and thunder before Thor whisked him away, the trip on the goat-drawn chariot, Heimdal, the Jotuns and the wall around Asgard.
