Chapter 25
“So, where are we going?” Rachel asked, sipping her hot chocolate. It didn’t have the caffeine she liked in it, but the chocolate warmed her instantly and helped her mood. She had been snarky to Adam and William. Between not finding anything and hungry, the bitchiness just came out of her, and she lashed out. Her stomach continued to growl, so she asked where they were going. Anything to distract her from the hunger pains. She should have eaten breakfast. William had brought a donut, but it was hardly enough to keep her fed for long.
“Not much farther, it’s my favorite place.” He turned down the same road as her cabin.
“If you wanted s*x, that’s all you had to say. You didn’t have to make a big show of it.”
