“We should probably get back,” Rachel said, picking up her ginger snap cookie and nibbling it.
“How can you still be hungry?” Adam couldn’t figure out where she was storing all that food. His woman had a healthy appetite. He made a mental note to make sure his cupboards were always stocked.
“I’m snacking,” she defended. “I don’t want this food to go to waste.”
Adam looked down at the empty basket he brought. It was completely empty except for the cookies. They hadn’t eaten many of them. He had two while Rachel only had one. There had been an odd taste to them today, so he hadn’t found them as enjoyable. He didn’t know if Fran was trying a new recipe or what.
