Chapter 27 Adam had lost count how many times he had thrown up. After a while, it was just dry heaving. He felt bad leaving Rachel alone without much of an explanation. Adam had scooted further into the trees to save himself from the embarrassment of Rachel seeing him on his knees in the snow hurling his guts out. He could hear her calling out for him, but his throat felt too weak to respond. His esophagus was raw and on fire. His stomach thankfully had started to settle, and it didn’t feel like the world was spinning. Whatever had caused it must be out of his system now.
