Epilogue
After several tests, Adam was cleared to leave the hospital. Rachel had only suffered a few minor scratches and a pulled shoulder from clinging to the tree roots. Rachel had shrugged it off, saying it was better to have a sore shoulder for a few days versus the alternative. Ed had suffered a concussion but would be back to work in a few days. All in all, it was a successful day. While Adam couldn’t question any accomplices, two traders were out of business. Rachel, William, and he went through Fran’s general store. Rachel had once joked about what Fran did in the backroom now they knew.
