"Isn't it too early to smile?" Magnus snorted in laughter. "I can see you're very confident your list will work." "Of course, I am" Seraphina snorted back. "I trust myself more than anyone else." "Hmm.... Let's see what's on the list then" Magnus said, and tried to scan the list, but Seraphina was quick to snatch it away, annoying him. "What was that for?" "I want to keep you curious" Seraphina replied, her smile broadening. "You'll find out when everything written here become a reality. Bye for now." She rushed out of his office and headed straight to the kitchen. There, she met Jane preparing the ingredients for dinner. "What are we having?" Seraphina asked, and Jane handed her a list, throwing her into confusion. "What's this?" Jane paused the chopping and replied. "That's a list of Master's nutritional diets. We strictly follow it." "Oh, I see" Seraphina nodded in understanding, her eyes scanning the list until it spotted a particular name exempted. "Why's the chicken stew exempted?" Huh... Well, Master did that himself" Jane replied with a solemn look. "His grandma used to make it for him, because it was his favourite, but when she got sick, she stopped. We tried to replicate her recipe, but each tries ended up in a disaster. Master got tired, so he told us not to make it again." "Oh, is that so?" Seraphina asked distantly, holding her chin in thoughts. "Jane, I want to make his dinner tonight. Don't tell him anything." "Huh... Okay, Madame" Jane agreed hesitantly. "But I could assist you in case you need anything." "Good" Seraphina said, pointing at the refrigerator. "Get me a full chicken." "What?!" Jane spat. "I said...." "Just do whatever I ask you to do" Seraphina cut in sharply, and immediately called out a list of ingredients, which Jane rushed to get. "Now, we can start." In an hour, the chicken stew was ready and Jane was already drooling as she tried to have a taste. "Don't even think of it" Seraphina swatted her hands away with a stern gaze. Few seconds later, Ethan walked in. "Master is waiting for his dinner. You should...." He trailed off, his widened eyes darting between Seraphina and the food on the table. "Madame, what's going on?" "Exactly what you're seeing" Seraphina replied. "You can leave. We're on our way." After Ethan left, Seraphina turned to Jane and said. "I'll go join him at the table. You and the other maids can serve the meal." They followed her orders, and had the meal served before Seraphina and Magnus. The cold man was stunned when he recognized the meal before him. "Who made this?" He berated, his voice full of anger. "I did" Seraphina replied immediately with a challenging smirk. "You have to taste it, or I'll feel I've won the dare." "Ugh... In your wildest dreams" Magnus scoffed. He cut a small chunk from the full chicken and had a bite. Suddenly, he froze, his eyes on Seraphina. "Who taught you how to make this?" He questioned. Seraphina shrugged in reply. "My mum. It's her recipe." Hearing this, Magnus let out a deep breath and looked at the stew in front of him. He picked up a spoon and had a taste. Instantly, his guess was confirmed; it tasted exactly like his grandmother's recipe. One thing was certain and that was the fact that he had missed the chicken stew a lot. He dug in, forgetting the lady seated in front of him. Soon enough, his plate was already empty. He looked up to see Seraphina grinning widely at him, and he coughed nervously. "Did you enjoy it?" She questioned with a teasing voice. Magnus refused to answer, but Seraphina already got the answer she needed. She watched him leave, before picking up her phone from the table to order for some flowers. When the order arrived, she sent it to his room. She didn't stop there, she went to the rooftop and set up a tent she borrowed from Ethan. She prepared a two glasses of wine and a mini cupcake she baked earlier. The next and important thing she needed to do was to convince Magnus to come up. With a deep breath, she knocked on his study room and got a reply to come in. He was standing by the window side with a distant look on his face that got Seraphina drawn to him. "Magnus" She called. "I need your help at the rooftop." Surprisingly, he agreed to follow her. Arriving at the rooftop, he was taken aback by the sight. She forced him to sit and cut a chunk of the cake, forcing it into his mouth. One thing Magnus didn't notice was that she had touched him. After that night, his icy and distant attitude towards Seraphina gradually reduced. For the next few days, she made him do lots of adventurous things with her. She once took him for a ride, and almost killed him. "I can't believe you tried to shorten my lifespan. Don't ever try this again" Magnus had scolded. Soon enough, she had exhausted the lists and didn't know what next to do. A crazy idea popped up in her head, and she went into his room. She suddenly forgot what she planned to do and began exploring every corner of the room. Unfortunately, Magnus, whom she thought was busy in his study room, came in and caught her going through his closet. He got furious and yanked her away from the spot. "What are you doing in my personal space?" He yelled. "I gave you your own room for a reason." "What?!" Seraphina spat, enraged by his outburst. "That's a dumb question. I was only trying to...." "Trying to what?" Magnus roared, startling her. "You can't just invade my privacy just because you feel we're married. Your constant pestering is beginning to get on my nerves." "What?" Seraphina exclaimed, tears welled up in her eyes. "I was only trying to make things work and now, you say I'm pestering you. I never wanted all of this in the first place, but I had to compromise because of my brother. Now, I trying to make things work and you...." Magnus didn't let her complete her words. He grabbed her waist and slammed his lips against hers, kissing her passionately till they were both breathless. Soon, they parted, staring into each other's eyes, and trying to
