KAYLEE “Are you sure about this?” Rizalina asked, the note of worry clear in her voice. I studied the building in front of me and really thought about that question. Was I sure? No. Absolutely not. I felt ridiculous that I even considered coming here, but I wanted some answers and Rizalina had been the one to suggest this. “You said he came highly recommended,” I reminded her. Rizalina shifted her weight from one foot to the other, her brows knitting together in a frown. “Yeah, but how can we really trust what anyone says in such matters? It’s not like there is a way to prove he isn’t just good at playing mind games.” True, I conceded to myself, then sighed. At any other time, I would have just turned around and left. But we were already here and might as well go through with it. F
