Diana’s POV
I stared at the note in my hand the words burning into my mind.
“He will bite.”
My chest tightened my fingers curling around the paper.
I looked up and down the hallway but it was empty. No shadows. No footsteps. Nothing. Only silence.
I backed into the room and shut the door softly locking it behind me.
My breathing quickened as I walked toward the bed the note still crumpled in my fist.
Who left it? That voice… it had been so clear. Female. Taunting. Almost playful.
Could it have been Gina?
I paced the room running a hand through my hair.
The way she had whispered into my ear earlier
“Pretty little girl…” I should have known she wasn’t done.
But what did the note mean? Was it a warning? A threat?
Or the truth?
