The Storm is Coming Diana’s POV I stared at the rose like it had fangs. It lay on the bed looking harmless in appearance but I knew better. The deep unnatural black of the petals, the cruel thorns, this wasn’t just a flower. It was a message. A promise. Tied to it was my earring the one I had lost the night I met Michael on that lonely road. I had told myself it had fallen off in my panic. That maybe it had rolled under a bush or been crushed by my own shoe. But now… it was here. In Cameron’s house. That meant Michael had been here. He had gotten past the gates. Past the staff.
