What's The Next move.. Laura let out a long, exasperated sigh, pushing a glass of water into my hands, her fingers brushing against mine as she did. "Girl, get yourself together," she said gently but firmly, her voice both comforting and insistent. She sat beside me on the couch, the weight of her presence offering me some sort of anchor, but nothing could calm the storm raging inside my chest.
