Cassius Clay Brown’s Pov

“That’s good. How long do you think you will stay there?”- I ask her on the other side of the phone

“Not so sure about that, I just wanted you to know that there’s already a progress about it. Anyway, how are my kids?”- She ask me, always worrying her children

“Don’t worry about them, your Dad and I am here to take care of them. You should worry about yourself, you don’t know how to cook”- I said half laughing

“I know how to order a food”- She sounds annoyed

“But I know my food taste better”- I said to her

“I know, that’s why I am doing everything as soon as possible so that I could go back and you could cook for me again”- I smiled as I heard her. It was not so rare to heard that from her

“What are your plans by next 2 weeks? It is already your birthday”- I said to her reminding her about it, she always forgets her own birthday but remembering everyone else birthday

“It is? Anyway, I still don’t know since I am alone, but I might as well have some cakes and wine, I’m fine with that”- I was just shaking my head as I heard that

“Okay, if you say so. Just stay safe, don’t let yourself over worked you may end up being sick”- I reminded her. Yes, I might sound like her Dad but I really do care about her. Like a lot.

“I won’t. I need to go now. Have a rest, I still need to work. Bye”- A long sigh from me after hearing her bye

“Bye”- I said and ended the call

“Papa, was that Mom?”- Avel ask me, he came from his room

“Yes, it’s her”- I said and smiled to him

“How is she? When can she come home?”- Yui asks me, they are really twins. They felt each other.

“She was fine, and I think she will come home soon”- I said to ease their sadness on missing their Mom

“Why won’t you call her then”- I said, because Avel emailing her at least once or twice a day but Yui was different. She was quite cold but very warm. She hides her emotions really well unlike Avel who always shows his true feelings.

“If I call her she still won’t come home because of her tasks”- She sigh after saying that

“Well, what she did was all for you. When you grow up, you’ll understand”- I said to them, trying my best for them to understand how it’s hard for a parent to be away to their children

“Won’t she come home on her birthday? It’s already on the next two weeks”- Avel sounded a little worry

“Can we just go to her?”- Yui suggested in a low voice, making me smile

“Well, that’s a nice idea Yui, but I was the one who will be dead if she finds out that you skip classes”- I said to her because it’s true that their mom would kill me for sure

“I think Philippines has internet connection to let us continue our classes”- She replied in a sarcastic way

“Besides, you were Mom’s commanding officer and yet you were scared of her”- Avel commented and it makes me glare

“Well, I can’t blame him, your Mom is indeed scary”- Their grandfather came from work said interrupting our conversation

“But Yui has a point, we could go see her”- Avel said to their grandfather, and from that moment on. I knew, their grandfather would be defeated on this argument

“I can’t control you because in the first place you are your mothers’ hidden treasures and she would be really happy for seeing you both on her special day”- Here we go. I know where it will be heading now

“It means?”- Yui ask him

“Of course I would allow you to go to her”- They both smiled but Avel smiled wider than Yui

“And you won’t tell her anything”- Yui said like it was an order before leaving us all, and went back to her room

“Your sister is really something Avel”- His grandfather ruin his hair

“She has a point though, because if Mom knew. She won’t allow us”- He answered agreeing to his sister

“Okay. I won’t tell her anything, I will seal my mouth”- He said and raise his both hands.

“You should follow your sister, it is already late”- I said to him and he just nod before kissing our cheek and went to his room

“Prepare everything for the twins, I will provide the plane ticket but let the twins decide when they want to go”- He instructed me and I just nod to him

After our conversation he went to his office. Like father like daughter, they always think about work stuff even when they are already inside their own houses. I have my own house but in times like this I’ll always spend the night here, Aella said that she is at ease when she’s not around but I am around for the kids. She knew I will do everything to make them safe.

I am a year older than her, we knew each other since my parents die, and since my parents was close to her father. Her father applied as my legal guardian, he treated me like a real son but  Aella and I are not that close not until I become her commanding officer when she was still in a training It was quite hard to get her attention and trust, but when she give it to me I knew I wanted more than that. I was in love with her since I don’t know when. Maybe when I danced her on the rain, when I saw the drops of the rain dripping down to her face, and the smile that reaches her eyes.
