THIRD PERSON POV Katherina found herself immobile in the arms of a familiar enemy. Joaquin's eyes burrowed into hers with immense passion. His gaze was filled with desire, as his strong muscles surrounded her with warmth. They stood there, frozen in time, lost in each other's arms. Something was wrong; Katherina couldn't bring herself to push him away, despite feeling his hardness underneath her. Why exactly was he hard for her? She thought he didn't consider her as a woman. " Boss, Boss" She called out, drawing his mind from his daydreaming of them making out " Please let go, I wouldn't try escaping again" Joaquin stayed put , trapped between his thoughts and reality before the door slammed open, and a man dressed in black walked in. "Oh!!! Forgive my interruption, Alpha. I didn't know you two were busy," he said abashedly with a brow, totally misunderstanding the situation. "We are not busy..." Katherina began explaining before Joaquin cut her off by throwing her onto the bed. "You interrupted nothing," he said expressionlessly, pretending like nothing had just happened. "What's wrong?" he asked authoritatively. "Mrs. A called," the man in black informed, and Joaquin quickly fell into panic. "And you're just telling me?" he asked before angrily walking out in a haste. Katherina sat there, nonplussed, for hours, wondering who this mysterious Mrs. A was and why she had a strong hold over Joaquin. It seemed like there was more to Joaquin than anyone could comprehend. Unfortunately, she wouldn't be around to find out. For the rest of the morning, Katherina was completely abandoned in the room, forgotten like an old piece of furniture. This was somewhat good, as she had ample time to think of an escape route. Come late afternoon, one of the guards walked into her room with a plate of poorly prepared food. "I need to use the restroom," Katherina lied, making an expression that suggested she was pressed. "Sorry, I can't do that. The Alpha commands that you don't leave this room," he informed calmly. "Please, I really need to use the restroom. I'm going to wet myself," Katherina lied once more, in tears, but it seemed to have no effect on him. "My answer is still no," he informed, frustrating her efforts. Katherina was an expert in playing the victim. "Please, sir, I really need to use the restroom. I am on my menses. Can't you perceive it?" she asked, clutching her lower abdomen as she pretended to be in pain. "No, I can't perceive a thing," he informed, ruining her plans. "That's because I'm trying my best to suppress it. Please, I won't take long. I just need two minutes, promise," Katherina lied in tears. "Fine," the guard gave in with a sigh. "Two minutes, not a second more." "Thank you, thank you so much," Katherina gratified excitedly with a smile as he led the way to the restroom. She got into the restroom while the guard stood outside with his back turned against her. Katherina quickly took the opportunity to sneak-attack him from behind, pushing him face-first into the wall, which caused him to go unconscious. "Sorry," she apologized in a whisper before taking to her heels. Katherina tried sneaking out of the building, only to bump into Joaquin at the back door. "Good!!! You are finally out. You certainly took your time to escape, especially since I only kept one guard in charge of you," Joaquin said arrogantly with one of his annoying smirks as he fixated on his phone. His voice sounded very casual, as though he had anticipated her escape. Katherina thought to herself, 'This is my chance to sneak up on him.' She tried to punch him, only for Joaquin to catch her hand in mid-air with little to no effort. Something was off about Joaquin; he wasn't like most men. Katherina might not look like much of a fighter, but she packed a punch but yet Joaquin was far superior to her. It was either he had years of military training and boxing, which she doubted, or he wasn't human. "Stop trying, will you? It's pointless," Joaquin said, twisting her wrist, making Katherina groan in pain. His hands were something else - soft as a dove's back, yet tough as a tortoise's shell. Katherina felt like her wrist was going to split into two any moment now. "Ouch" she cried as she pried her almost-broken hand from his grip, shooting angry glares at him. "What???. Do you want to fight, young man?" Joaquin asked provocatively, to which Katherina had no answers. As early as now, she could say without a hint of doubt that she wasn't going to escape anytime soon. "That's what I thought," Joaquin said with one of his annoying smirks before grabbing hold of her hand and pulling her towards his car. Katherina provided no resistance, mainly because she lacked the energy to do so due to hunger. Not to mention, she was feeling rather drowsy from not consuming her usual cocaine dosage. "Where are you taking me?" she asked nonplussed when they walked past the front seats. "You tried escaping," Joaquin said in a deep, nemesis-like hoarse tone that sent chills down her spine. "I still have to punish you for that, don't I?" He opened up the trunk of his car, and Katherina's eyes widened in fear. "What are you going to do to me?" she asked, scared. "Don't worry, young man," Joaquin said before shuffling her into the trunk. "I would be creative about it." As Joaquin drove away, Katherina found herself trapped and at his mercy. Meanwhile, Joaquin's thoughts were consumed by Katherina. She had been a major pest in his path for the past two days, and he was getting sick of it. For someone he had been studying for months, she seemed to have a mountain of secrets. She was way too ripped for someone who barely did physical exercise. Plus, she packed a punch in those tiny hands of hers. Joaquin could feel his bones crack, even though he acted otherwise. There was something about Katherina that he just couldn't place a finger on. Even Miss A was interested in seeing her. In her own words, "I can't wait to see the woman who had the guts to outsmart the mighty Alpha Joaquin." Joaquin thought to himself, 'I will show her, I'm still unbeatable, and that is a fact.' He drove into Alpha Queen Alexandria's mansion, determined to prove his point. Joaquin stopped the car, moved over to the trunk, and pulled Katherina out by the hair into Miss A's torture room. "Stay put," he commanded, forcing her to sit before heading out to get Miss A. When he returned with Miss A, Katherina was still sitting casually in her seat. "Stand up," Miss A commanded, and for the first time in two days, Katherina obeyed without complains. Miss A then went further to circle Katherina for a few seconds while puffing smoke in her face. "Oh, Joaquin!!! You really do have eyes for nice things. She's adorable," Miss A said, which came as a mock to Joaquin. "You like this, little puppy?" Miss A asked, waving her cigarette in Katherina's face. "Yes....." Katherina said in a soft, feminine voice that Joaquin had never heard before. "Here you go, little one," Miss A said, handing Katherina the remainder of her cigarette, and Katherina quickly took a sip before letting out a breath of relief. "Excuse Mommy and Daddy for a bit. We would like to have a chat," Miss A commanded, and as expected, Katherina happily walked out, making one of Joaquin's worst nightmares come true. Him and Miss A were left alone in a room. "I will go check up on her, so she doesn't escape," Joaquin said in an attempt to escape, but Miss A held him, hugging him from behind. "Is that how you say welcome to your woman? I have been away for over a month, and I don't even get a peck," Miss A said with a grumble. Joaquin's secret was out. Miss A happened to be his secret lover for the past 21 years. ****************************
