THIRD PERSON POV A sense of uncertainty hung over the CIA like a dark cloud. Agent Ice Heart had been missing for 48 hours, and all attempts to contact her had been unsuccessful. It was as if she had vanished into thin air. A meeting was convened in the board room to discuss the next course of action. "As we are aware, Agent Ice Heart has been missing for 48 hours, and we fear the worst may have happened to her," Agency General General Collins Sato informed the team of CIA agents seated before him. "What do you mean by the worst? Are you saying she's dead, General?" Agent J, Ice Heart's former love interest and Ariana's ex, asked, his voice laced with concern. "I'm afraid so," General Collins replied simply. "We can't rush into conclusions. Shouldn't we search for her first? What if she's been kidnapped or worse, being tortured as we speak?" J asked, his panic evident as he rose to his feet. "Calm down, Agent J. Control your emotions," Agent V reprimanded, and J took his seat, apologizing. "We will search for her eventually, but for now, we need to focus on keeping tabs on Joaquin Livera," General Collins informed. "How do you propose we do that, General?" Agent Zaro asked, intrigued. "I think we need to get another agent to infiltrate his ranks," General Collins replied. "But how do you intend to do that, considering Joaquin isn't taking any new recruits at the moment? Even if that wasn't the case, we know they wouldn't last long. Agent Ice Heart was just lucky to have lasted this long," Agent Zaro pointed out. "We need to send someone like Ice Heart. Someone who can hold their own," General Collins said, his eyes scanning the room. "You can't mean Ariana. She's still unconscious," Agent Ivo pointed out. "I'm aware of that. I wasn't talking about her. I was talking about Agent David De Leon, aka Slug," General Collins replied. "But General, I don't think Slug is the right person for the job. He's too competitive," Agent J said, his voice laced with concern. "He's perfect for the job," General Collins insisted, just as the door burst open and Agent Rago rushed in. "Sorry to interrupt, but we have urgent news from the hospital. Agent Ariana just woke up," he announced, a smile spreading across his face. _____________________________ Meanwhile, at the Warhook Pack, Joaquin arrived with Katherina in tow. "Get down," he commanded, as he stepped out of the car. Katherina slid out of the car, wincing in pain as she put weight on her broken ankle. Joaquin watched her struggle, his patience wearing thin. "Put me down! I can walk just fine," Katherina protested, as Joaquin swooped in and scooped her up, carrying her bridal-style towards the entrance. "Stop struggling. I don't have all day," Joaquin warned, his voice firm but controlled. Katherina's eyes flashed with anger, but she wisely kept her mouth shut, clinging to Joaquin's neck as he carried her. Once they reached her room, Joaquin deposited Katherina on the bed, his eyes scanning her injuries. "I'll get Von to take care of you," he said, his voice detached. But as he turned to leave, something about Katherina's fragile state stayed his hand. He found himself wanting to take care of her, to tend to her wounds and make her whole again. With a newfound sense of purpose, Joaquin set about tending to Katherina's injuries, his touch gentle and competent. Katherina watched him, her eyes narrowed in confusion. Why was Joaquin being so kind to her? Didn't he hate her? As Joaquin worked, Katherina's gaze drifted over his face, taking in the sharp lines and angles. She had never really looked at him before, but now, she saw something in his eyes that gave her pause. Joaquin, too, couldn't help but steal glances at Katherina. He was taken aback by her beauty, by the delicate features and striking eyes. For a moment, he forgot about his anger, his hatred, and all he could see was the woman before him. But as he finished tending to her wounds, Joaquin's mask slipped back into place. "Wear this," he commanded, handing her one of his T-shirts. Katherina took the shirt, her eyes locked on Joaquin's. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them palpable. Then, without a word, Katherina began to undress, her movements slow and deliberate. Joaquin watched, his eyes fixed on her body, his desire growing with each passing moment. As Katherina removed her ripped jeans and T-shirt, Joaquin's gaze roamed over her body, taking in the sight of her bulky, round thighs, her well-toned abs, and her large, round breasts, which were enclosed in a cute pink lace bra. His body responded to the sight, and he felt himself grow hard. Katherina, sensing his gaze, turned to face him, her eyes narrowing in distaste. "Do you mind?" she asked, her voice dripping with annoyance, as she covered her half-exposed breasts with her hands. "You should be flattered by my stare," Joaquin replied, his voice mocking, as he turned away, his face burning with shame. He cursed himself for not having the decency to turn away from her. Unknown to him, Katherina had planned for him to turn his back on her. With a swift movement, she jumped onto his back, wrapping her arms around his neck in a tight arm lock, trying to render him unconscious. But Joaquin was not one to be caught off guard easily. He reached back and grabbed Katherina's arms, prying them off his neck and spinning her around to face him. "What do you think you're doing?" he growled, his eyes blazing with anger. Katherina's eyes flashed with fear as she realized she had underestimated Joaquin's strength. She tried to struggle, but Joaquin's grip was too tight. He held her in place, his eyes boring into hers. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them palpable. Then, without warning, Joaquin's expression changed. His eyes narrowed, and his face twisted into a snarl. "You're going to pay for that," he growled, his voice low and menacing. Katherina's eyes widened in fear as Joaquin's grip tightened around her wrists. Now, she was at his mercy. As Joaquin's grip tightened, Katherina felt a surge of adrenaline coursing through her veins. She knew she had to think fast if she wanted to escape. With a swift movement, she brought her knee up, aiming for Joaquin's groin. But he was too quick, and he dodged the blow with ease. "You're going to have to do better than that," he sneered, his eyes glinting with amusement. Katherina's eyes flashed with anger, and she launched herself at Joaquin, determined to take him down. But he was too strong, and he easily overpowered her. As they struggled, Katherina's hands brushed against Joaquin's chest, and she felt a jolt of electricity run through her body. She was taken aback by the sensation, and for a moment, she forgot about her struggle. Joaquin, too, felt the spark, and his eyes locked onto Katherina's, his gaze burning with intensity. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them crackling with electricity. Then, without warning, Joaquin's lips crashed down on Katherina's, his kiss fierce and demanding. Katherina's eyes widened in shock, but she couldn't deny the spark that had ignited between them. As they kissed, the room around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the heat of the moment. ***************************†
