THIRD PERSON POV Katherina's eyes flickered open to an unfamiliar white ceiling. She was lying on a white floor, her hands and feet bound together by cuffs. As she looked around, she noticed that the entire room was painted white and seemed deserted. "This must be Joaquin's doing," she thought. "He's trying to find new ways to punish me." Before she could ponder further, the door slammed open, and her captor walked in. Katherina lay still, patiently waiting for his face to be revealed. Unbeknownst to her, she was about to see a face that would leave her stunned. It was none other than her father, General Gary Rivera. "Dad, you're here. I'm so happy," Katherina confessed genuinely, with a broad smile. "How did I get here, and why am I tied up?" she asked nonplussed. Her father's response was cold and calculated. "Do you really need to ask me that, Katherina? It's because you're useless." Katherina's eyes widened in shock. "What are you talking about, Dad? I did everything you said." Her father's expression turned venomous. "If that was the case, how did you lose Joaquin's gold bar?" he questioned, his voice dripping with disdain. Katherina felt a wave of shame wash over her. She couldn't utter a word in her defense. Her father's insults cut deep. "Katherina, you've always been a disappointment, right from childbirth. You'll never amount to anything. You know why? Because you're nothing but a cheap substitute for your sister." Katherina felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes as her father's words struck a chord. Immediately she wakes from her slumber. She knew it was just a dream, but the fear lingered. Just then there's a knock at her door, it's was a guard who informed her that Joaquin required her presence. Later, Katherina found herself standing in front of Joaquin, who was seated at the head of a grand, rotating table in a luxurious dining room. "What took you so long?" Joaquin questioned in his usual drawl hoarse tone, sending shivers down Katherina's spine. The handsome gentleman who had accompanied her explained, "Forgive our lateness, Alpha. She insisted on getting herself together before stepping out." " As expected. Have a sit" He commanded and she obliged "Read this" " I can't read" She said maintaining her cover. Joaquin's frown deepened. "Young man, are you good at anything? Who hired someone like you in the first place?" he questioned bitterly, referring to Katherina. Katherina felt a surge of anger at Joaquin's insults. "You did, boss," she informed, trying to make him look stupid. Joaquin's expression turned cold. "That's impossible. I must have been drunk, because you can't even pass for my pet with how brainless you are." Katherina seethed with anger, promising herself that one day she would make Joaquin eat his words. As the conversation continued, Katherina learned that she had supposedly borrowed $120 million from Joaquin and used herself as collateral. The money was due in a month's time, and if she failed to pay, she would be forced to pay double. Joaquin handed her a contract to Von, which explained it in detail. Katherina signed the contract, knowing she would escape before Joaquin could use her as he pleased. As she signed, Joaquin's hand brushed against hers, sending a spark of electricity through her body. She felt a strange attraction to him, despite his arrogance. "Good," Joaquin said, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "Now, get this clear: I own you. From the hair on your head to those pretty lips of yours." Katherina felt a shiver run down her spine as Joaquin's thumb caressed her lower lip. She knew she had to maintain her façade, but a part of her was drawn to Joaquin's charismatic presence. As Joaquin's phone buzzed, he excused himself, leaving Katherina alone with Von. His parting words sent a chill down her spine: "Von, take good care of my new property, and keep a close eye on her. If she tries to escape, hand her over to the guys to have a good time." Katherina's eyes widened in horror as Joaquin's words hung in the air, leaving her feeling vulnerable and trapped.Von's expression remained neutral, but Katherina detected a hint of sympathy in his eyes. He nodded curtly and turned to leave, but not before casting a warning glance at Katherina. As the door closed behind Von, Katherina felt a wave of desperation wash over her. She was trapped, and Joaquin's words had made it clear that she was nothing more than a possession to him. *************************
