The morning bell of Blue Moon Pack echoed through the vast stone halls, calling every wolf to breakfast.

“Yes, Luna,” Jasmine murmured softly, bowing slightly as she carefully placed the tea in front of her father.
Alpha Victor didn’t even glance her way. Instead, his eyes sparkled with pride for Linda, Jasmine’s step-sister, who smiled confidently from her seat.
Linda was everything Jasmine wasn’t: beautiful, powerful, and already awakened her Alpha wolf at eighteen. The pack adored her. Their father adored her.
“And how is my strongest warrior today?” Alpha Victor asked, his voice warm for the first time.
“Training went perfectly,” Linda said sweetly. “Beta Marcus says my wolf grows stronger every day.”
“That’s my girl,” Alpha Victor said proudly, and the hall erupted in applause.
Jasmine kept her head low, silently pouring the tea.
Then Linda’s eyes landed on her.
“Oh Jasmine,” she said, loud enough for the entire table to hear, “why don’t you join training sometime?”
The pack laughed. Jasmine’s stomach tightened.
“Oh wait,” Linda added, smirking, “I forgot… you don’t even have a wolf.”
The laughter grew louder.
Jasmine felt the familiar sting in her chest, but she forced herself to stay calm. She had heard these words her entire life—wolf-less, useless, cursed.
Alpha Victor’s gaze finally landed on her, cold and accusing.
“Stop standing there. Go clean the training grounds,” he ordered, his voice sharp.
“But Father, I—” Jasmine began, her voice trembling.
“I said go!” His words thundered through the hall.
Jasmine swallowed hard. She bowed slightly and obeyed.
Outside, the cold morning air hit her face as she walked across the vast courtyard. Warriors sparred fiercely, their wolves’ strength almost visible in the way they moved. The smell of power filled the air—a reminder that she was nothing.
A group of young wolves whispered as she passed.
“That’s her… Alpha Victor’s useless daughter.”
“She still hasn’t awakened a wolf?”
“Maybe she isn’t even a real wolf.”
Jasmine’s hands tightened around the broom she carried, but she didn’t speak. Fighting back had only made things worse in the past.
Yet deep in her chest… something stirred.
A faint warmth pulsed through her veins. A strange, ancient energy that came and went like a heartbeat.
Jasmine paused, placing a hand over her chest.
“What… is this?” she whispered.
Her golden eyes flashed briefly with an eerie light, and then it vanished.
Across the courtyard, Linda’s sharp eyes narrowed. Something was different about Jasmine lately…
But before Linda could investigate, a loud howl rang through the skies above Blue Moon Pack.
A messenger wolf landed at the gates, panting heavily.
“Alpha Victor! The most powerful Alpha in the territory… he has arrived!” the wolf barked.
The hall went silent.
Jasmine’s heart pounded. Something inside her told her that tonight… nothing would ever be the same.
