Fast-forward to two months…
Their hotel room smelled of cologne.
And if revenge has a scent, it's that of cologne.
Nathaniel switched the yellow lights to blue lights. Immediately, lying down on the bed, Sunshine's stomach twisted, every breath felt heavy and guilty. What's about to happen wasn't her desire.
A desperate attempt to make Ava feel every fraction of what her mother felt back then.
Nathaniel was sweating like he's gyming, he crawled to her cheek, slowly kissed her to her ears, back to her neck.
“You breathe so fast, you're not comfortable, are you?" He asked. She quickly swallowed the lump in her throat and said “Yess, I am” her lips curled in a faking smile.
Her heart stoned so hard that she was afraid he could hear the beat and part of her really wanted to step back, scream and run away but another broken part of her swayed her thought to stay back, “stay back ... .do it…make her suffer” her mind whispered.
Nathaniel's hand reached out to her jaw, carelessing it gently, dragged it closer to his mouth, pulled her waist closer to his, kissed her lips, licked the lower lip like a lollipop.
He crawled to her lower region, his fingers tangling in her hair, his hot breath fanning against her parted l*ps as he slowly thr*usted into her, Sunshine let out a sounding moan as Nathaniel filled her with his g*rthy and l*ngthy c∆ck, he was driving in and out of her p*ssy, left him with his eyes slightly closed as he moaned too.
She kissed him. Not because she wanted to, but because she needed this weapon to cut Ava’s pride.
Her eyes stayed open, counting the seconds, looking at the ceiling, waiting for that moment to be over.
Nathaniel held her face forward, brushing his thumb across her cheek as if she was something fragile. “You're so sweet Sunshine" he whispered.
Later that night, when he fell asleep beside her, Sunshine pulled away from him and curled to the far end of the bed. Tears soaked the pillow as she pressed both hands to her mouth to silence her sobs.
She had done it.
She had crossed the line that had no return.
And she hated herself for it.
The guilt followed her home like a shadow that refused to leave.
Weeks later, Sunshine, wearing baggy dresses, avoided long talk with people because she knows she'll eventually spit in their presents.
But mothers know and Mothers will always know.
As day breaks,days turn into weeks.
On one fateful evening, Selana,Sunshine's mom blocked Sunshine on her doorway with a tight facial expression
“Sunshine, come here…I said you should come here, this girl what's wrong with you, are you ok at all?” She stepped closer to her, her eyes searching, she felt her temperature with her hand over her neck.
Sunshine's mom had once worked as a nurse in a hospital, so she can easily notice someone who's pregnant.
“Nothing mo..m" she stammered, shaking her head, her body trembling.
“Your body..your face..your walk, Sunshine! Sun..Shhhine!! Are youu..?"
Sunshine looked down to her belly, tears has already filled her eyes but couldn't hold it back, her strength left her completely, she felt empty, goosebumps crawled up her body, she staggered and fell to her knees, held her mom's feet.
“Sunshine, don't tell me it's true!", Selena screamed and raised her both hands across her head.
She opened her mouth, firstly swallowed a lump of saliva on her throat.
“Yes mom.. I'm sorryyyy, it wasn't my plan”
Selena was still confused
“What happened???”
"Mom, I'm preg…I'm pregnant mom"
“Whatttttttttt? Did I just hear you say?? Sunshine!!!"
Selena gasped, her hand flying to her chest, pating her chest, “My God…Not me..What a shame ….Did I offend you my lord?” she screamed. "whereeee??? Lord!!!" Selena was already panting, sweat over her face,her hands over her head
“This girl has tarnished my image, my respect, Sunshine..Sunshine whose child?”
Sunshine cried harder.
“Ava’s husband mom”
The room felt too small, the air too thin.
Selena staggered backward until her back hit the wall. Tears streamed down her face as guilt crushed her chest.
“You say? Nathaniel? Are you not ashamed? The man whose wife shamed I and my family?, Sunshine…the man whose wife betrayed our family?”
“Mom it's not what you're thinking"
" Tell me what is it if it not what I'm thinking, So you were having an affair with him while his wife's having an affair with your father"
"SINFUL SIN!!!” Selena murmured in tears
“No wonder Ava had the gut to speak to me like that and you here,busy consoling me why you have a hand in this game”
“Jeeeeeez”
“I can explain mom”
“Shut up that thing you called mouth
Shame! Shameeeee!!”
She spitted in tears,folded her arms in shock and shame.
Just then,
A knock.
Ava’s voice drifted through the door cheerfully, “Selena? I came to drop something off!”
Both mother and daughter froze.
Panic exploded.
Sunshine wiped her tears fast.
Selena pressed a trembling finger to her lips indicating silence.
