Brandon's POV "Congratulations, pal! I didn't know you planned on getting married again," Trevor tossed his glass with mine before drinking it all. After my simple wedding yesterday, I have to check if everything is in order. A wedding is not enough to stop me from working, especially since I need to be more updated after showing the crowds my newest wife. They probably thinking what happened to my former wife, which is none of my business anymore and don't have the nerve knowing it either. "When's the honeymoon?" He asked. I place down my glass and leaned back, "She need adjustment after getting kidnap and got married at the same time. It can wait." "Wait, was it even part of your plan?" "What'd you mean?" "I mean, making her pregnant?" "It's not but there's nothing wrong about planting my heir inside her, right? I need an heir, to replaced me when the time has come and don't have to find that woman just to have one." "You mean your wife?" "Ex-wife, Trevor. Remember the ex." "Sorry." He seated on the opposite chair and uttered, "Since you're married again. Do you have spare plan if she came back suddenly? Especially your brother." "I'm already prepare to whatever events awaits us." "Can't wait to see their faces after knowing you got married again." "Me, either." My wife doesn't have an idea I know what she done behind my back. What they done behind my back. I may look like a fool after loving such a woman, give everything she need, sacrifice what I shouldn't. However, my hospitality wasn't enough for her to be devoted. That's why I let her runaway from me, and believe me or not she'll come back. "Sadly, your wedding doesn't have a party after and I've been waiting for that because I see a lot of girls in the church. How I wish to meet them again." "Where's Nathan? I'm expecting him to be here and not late again," I change the topic. "Oh, him? I haven't seen him since yesterday." "I give him a job and until now haven't heard of him, that man started to annoy me." "Chill, man. Nathan is one of our best men and he's your friend, remember? I mean, our friend." "Doesn't matter. I want answers and if Nathan didn't show up before noon, load your gun." "Don't need, Brandon." Speaking of the devil. He came right on time. "Nathan, my man! I thought your dead!" "I thought too, but here I am. Alive and breathing." "Come on, that's a freaking joke!" Trevor laughed. Nathan shook his head and approach my desk, and place an old folder. The writings almost faded and I must say this folder came from the deepest grave. "What's this rubbish?" I asked him. "You asked to dig deeper right? I checked your new wife's background and took her birth certificate. She is the woman you've been looking for, Brandon. My private investigator did a good digging." I took the old folder and open it, dust greet me. And then, I take a look at the certificate and check every single important details I never seen. Suddenly, my lips couldn't help but smirked because finally. I hit a jackpot. The jackpot I've been waiting to have. She's the girl that I've been waiting for… "Well done, Nathan. Well done." *********************** Sierra's POV I've been sitting on this chair for almost three hours. My mind is mess up and don't have the nerve doing some actions after getting married without plan, the man I married is unpredictable. He didn't speak and asked me how am I doing, he just leave me and let me do whatever I want. But that magic word doesn't even make me excited, especially since my life is going to be part of his. I'm the wife of a billionaire who already married to a girl who runaway from him. That story is quite skeptical because I have no idea what really happened after she runaway, maybe there's a reason. There's a reason why she runaway from him. What if she had enough with the danger that chasing her after marrying him? Or maybe they didn't get along, but what if he killed her and made up a story just to cover up her death? "Hello, Sierra!" "Cover up her death—what the heck?!" I turned just to see who is that daring person, and surprised to see Trevor. "Whose death are you going to cover up?" "No one. Why did you have to came up to me like that? Are you trying to murder me?" I inquired. "Me? Murdering you? That's not gonna happened. I am in your side and believe me or not.. I will protect you from Brandon's enemies." "So sweet of you, Trevor, but no thanks. Mind your own business because I can take care of myself," I answered. "I'd love to, but Brandon ordered me to stay in your side. He said, after that kidnapping he's worried for your life. Especially since you almost die," He said. "I truly appreciate his concerned, I truly am. But that circumstances is absurd and couldn't process those until now, he should warn me before offering me a job." "Will you still accept it?" He questioned. "Pardon?" "If Brandon warn you he's a mafia lord, will you still accept his offer?" I suddenly lost my words, causing me to avert my gaze from him. I have no answers prepared and he caught me off guard because of that. "That's what I thought. You should be grateful since he takes care of you, although this is already part of your deal with him. However, it's my honor to be his wife's personal guard for the meantime." I exhaled deeply, "Do I have a choice?" "Of course you don't have a choice, Sierra." Yeah, right. I don't have a choice because I am the prisoner on this deal. Not a hired wife to cover up a woman's sudden disappearances to save his a*s from humiliation. "So, where do you wanna go?" He asked.
