Chapter 14
Max – POV
As I follow Kyle down the hall, I can’t help the smile I have now plastered on my face. I turn to go to the front door and see Liz, Travis, and Charlie by the front door. They see my smile and Liz face goes to a confused look as Charlie get angry, and Travis just keeps smiling. “What did you do?” Charlie says crossing her arms.
“Me? Nothing.” I continue out the door. “I need to be here at noon for my lunch date.” I say nonchalantly. Liz who was walking behind me dead stops.
“Your what?” She says with a panic look on her face.
I keep walking to the Polaris Ranger, “My lunch. Can I drive this bad boy?” I say standing in front of the driver’s door. It is a truly beautiful machine. I may need to get one.
