Chapter 15 - Max - POV
Charlie is barreling down the gravel road back towards the main house as we get to a paved road she takes a sharp right instead of going straight to the house. We go a little ways and I see what looks like a little main street. With little buildings on either side. As we drive down Charlie finally turns to me, “Look Cousin if you think you can come in here and just grab and go, you need to know it’s not going to be that easy.” I look at her for a minute intently.
“What are you talking about? Grab and go?” My wolf on edge, what does she mean by that.
“I am just telling you LG is not one you can love and leave, and I don’t think you can drag her from here either. She gives lives and futures to people. She changed me, and I don’t know if I can go back either.” Sh
