3 Leaving Hell….

After Rachel and I get dressed in black clothes I make sure to put my hair in a bun and find a black beanie that I thought I’d left at our old home we’re standing at the front door of the club house. There’s so many different wolves here for the ceremonies that have just started that it’s almost impossible to pinpoint any particular scent. The only thing I can sense for sure is they’re all older scents except for two and those I recognize as two of the packs security omegas. Those two are fresh and it tells me that there is a patrol. In the shadow of the front porch Rachel and I are hidden. I make sure there’s an open link between us.

“You know the plan right?” I ask over our link.

“Yes straight to the house.” She replies. “Unless you say differently “

“Perfect. Something tells me they’re not going to let us just walk away so when I say go sprint to the woods.” I say and Rachel nods.. I scan the area once more to make sure no one’s around . “Now.” I say over our link and we jump off the porch and start running. It’s not as easy considering the driveway between us and the woods is filled with vehicles from all the guests so we’re having to weave through them . I see Rachel in front of me as she rounds the final vehicle and enters the woods. I am passing the last vehicle when Isis starts getting excited.

“What is that smell?” She whines and I smell oranges and chocolate it’s divine. It’s the most incredible smell I’ve ever smelt and I start to slow down trying to figure out where it’s coming from.

“STOP RIGHT THERE!” Someone yells and I snap out of my fog. I run into the woods and don’t look back. I can hear the moment two people enter the woods behind me and I link my sister.

“Shift now.” I tell her and I hear the omegas chasing us. “Isis get us out of here.” I shift on the fly and catch my back pack in my mouth as Isis goes full speed. I can here my sisters wolf (Willow) running in front of me. I hear the omegas falling behind and the last thing I hear proves my gut feeling is correct they don’t intend to let us go.

“Neil we lost them.” One of the omegas states.

Rachel and I don’t shift back until we get to my car at our old house and then quickly pull on knew clothes before jumping into my car and speeding towards the border of The Burgundy River packs territory. Even after crossing the border I’m on edge as every pair of headlights I see I worry it’s one of the pack chasing us. An hour into our drive Rachel falls asleep. She is tired after working all day and then running away. I thought leaving the only place I’d ever known and breaking from the pack would be painful but even as the connection broke as we crossed the border all I could feel was freedom. I hadn’t realized how heavy and overbearing that connection was until it lifted and I feel better, more like myself than I have since the night of his birthday. I knew that I’d made the right decision, the only decision I could to make sure I found my happiness in the future. I continued driving all night something pulling me in the direction I was supposed to take.

** Meanwhile at The Pack house***

I sit in the most uncomfortable and hideously decorated chair I’ve ever seen. Every chair faces the altar and is covered in hot pink fabric and hot orange ribbons. The altar itself is decorated in the same eye burning colors with flowers and ornaments. I mind link my brother and sister in law who are beside me.

“Can’t wait to see the future Luna who came up with this monstrosity.” I say and Alec chuckles while Nadine laughs.

“Even I have to admit this is the worst one we’ve had to attend.” Nadine says. “Does anyone else feel Alpha Dante has something or someone else on his mind?” My gaze finds the new alpha and he is looking at the woods behind the ceremony quite intently.

I should introduce myself. My name is Prince Liam Caputo and I’m a Lycan. My parents are King Thomas and Queen Sophia of all wolf packs in North and South America. My brother is Crown Prince Alec and Princess Nadine. Alec is next in line to take over the thrown and as such he and Nadine have been handling business and keeping the peace between packs for the past year. Since I’m trying to learn the process I joined them 3 months ago. As part of the royal family we attend mating ceremonies often so when Nadine says this one is the worst she’s not kidding.

“Darling there you are.” Cecily the female Lycan who joined us a few days ago at my mother’s insistence says as she sits next to me. “The ladies room was simply disgusting. But I’m so glad I didn’t miss the ceremony it’s breathtaking.”

“Breathtaking. Eye gouging same diff” Nadine says over the link. I chuckle. Nadine has made her opinion of Cecily clear. She annoys the s**t out of her.

My mother has it in her head that Cecily and I are a good match and while Cecily is nice to look at I’d rather eat broken glass then spend my life with her. My mother means well as a Lycan I’m well aware that I may never find my “Anima Gemela “ my soul mate. Many Lycans don’t. There’s only one and if they die or mate with another you never find them. Many lycans chose to mate and mark another because being a Lycan you live a long time and my Lycan Zeus loves s*x. There are always willing females to satisfy my hunger but it’s a slippery slope as a lot will do anything to become pregnant by a Prince in order to join the royal family. Cecily is the daughter of my fathers beta. In my mothers eyes she’s qualified to become my mate. In mine I’d rather be submerged in silver.

“Darling you said we’d talk tonight when we return to the hotel, about our relationship and future.” Cecily whispers wrapping herself around my arm. She’s been pushing to make things physical but something holds me back. She’s almost too pushy.

“I’m aware of what I said.” I say pulling away from her. “I’m here professionally tonight as are you.” I remind her and she pouts.

Thankfully the ceremony starts and the rest of the guests stand for the brides entrance. My brother, sister in law and I stay seated and Cecily does not move.

“Cecily remember your place.” I growl softly and she stands. She has overstepped her place by not immediately standing as only the royal family sits .

“How dare she? She needs to be reminded where she stands.” Alec says over our link. I look at him and growl “She needs to return home.” Alec nods and that’s when I see Alpha Dante’s eyes are clouded over showing he’s mine linking and when he cuts the link he has an angry and sad look in his eyes for just a moment before covering it right as his mate steps beside him. He mind links with her and by the rage in her eyes I realize things are getting interesting.

Alpha Dante steps up so he is seen by all and his mate growls angrily.

“I apologize but we will be postponing the ceremonies to attend to some vital pack business.” His mate storms back to the clubhouse and moments later there’s two crashes. Alpha Dante thanks us all for coming before rushing into the pack house with his beta and security. We get up and head for the car.

“What a shame we don’t have to look at those horrendous decorations all night.” Nadine says and Cecily gasps. “That poor she wolf imagine your wedding your Luna ceremony postponed after you’ve put so much work in to make it perfect.”

“Please that barbie didn’t lift a finger she had her omegas do it all.” Nadine replies as we step around the back of our limo and I freeze taking a sniff and Zeus starts losing his mind. He’s pacing and howling. “MINE MINE MINE FINALLY.” The scent of strawberries and the ocean floods my senses and it’s intoxicating. I lean over with my hands on my knees as I become light headed.

“Liam what is it? Are you alright?” Alec says before rushing over. I stand up and look him in the eyes. He smirks at me knowingly. “Alright Zeus stand down so Liam and I can find her.” Alec tells Zeus through our link and Zeus relaxes slightly and moves back. “Come lil brother it appears we need to meet with Alpha Dante immediately.”

Alec and I leave the ladies in the limo and head back into the pack house. We don’t see Alpha Dante but a omega spots us and immediately rushes over.

“How may I assist your highnesses?” She asks with a seductive expression.

“Where is your Alpha?” I ask in annoyance and when she doesn’t reply I glare at her “Tell him we need to see him now and it’s important.”

“Yes your highness.” She says before rushing off down a hallway. I’m so annoyed and on edge needing to see, to touch my “Anima Gemela” but then I catch her scent it’s faint and old but it calms me. “Your highnesses please allow me to escort you to Alpha Dante’s office.” The omega returns and I nod and she leads us up stairs towards the Alpha floor but I freeze and growl as we pass a closed door and I smell blood. I kick the door open and find two bunk beds. My mates intoxicating scent is strong in here and I know it’s her room. But I’m focused on the scent of her blood that is fading but was definitely here. She’s been hurt and that fact enrages Zeus.

“BRING ALPHA DANTE NOW!” I roar and the omega runs out. I look around the closet size room and get more angry. How dare they turn my mate into an omega. I know she wasn’t born one. There’s a strong alpha in her scent. I stop when I see a necklace on the floor beside the dresser and pick it up. It’s a locket and inside are two pictures one of a baby girl the other is the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen and I know it’s her.

“Mate” Zeus growls.

I close the locket and gently put it in the inner pocket of my jacket as Alpha Dante rushes in and freezes. His eyes turn sad and territorial but it’s gone in a blink.

“You needed something your highness?” He asks and I want to rip his head off which Alec senses.

“Yes where is the she wolf who stays in this room?” Alec asks

“Omega Leah and Omega Rachel her sister share this room your highness.” He says and I know my mate is Leah. I glare at the Alpha .

“Where are they now?” Alec inquires and I see that territorial look flash in his eyes again.

“Alpha Dante unless you’re completely a tool you must smell the blood in this room. Not just tonight’s but the old blood as well. Where is she?” I growl and he is afraid.

“We don’t know. The sisters left the pack tonight and my security lost them in the woods.” He says and I am confused. Why were his security trying to stop the sisters from leaving. Every wolf is free to break from any pack once they are of age. There’s no question that the sisters are of age. So what’s he hiding? He realizes I’m staring at him and he takes a deep breath dropping his shoulders. “We should continue this in my office.”

“Lead the way.” I reply and we head to his office.

“Stay calm Liam it’s the only way we’ll find her.” Alec says over our link and I know he’s right.

“HOW DARE YOU POSTPONE MY WEDDING FOR THAT STUPID OMEGA SLUT?” The bride screams at Alpha Dante and throws something at his head. He dodges it and she continues not realizing Alec and I are there. “YOU STILL LOVE HER EVEN THOUGH YOURE MY MATE. WE MARKED EACH OTHER. I WISH WED KILLED HER THIS MORNING.”

I rage at her statement but before I can move Alpha Dante has her against the wall his hand around her throat.

“WHAT DID YOU SAY?” He roars but his mate just glares.

“Don’t act innocent Dante you knew every member was putting hands on your precious Leah. You saw her bruises and cuts more than once. I told you if you moved her in here I’d make her suffer.” She growls and I roar before grabbing him and slamming him on his back across his desk.

“You pathetic piece of s**t you and I will search every inch of this continent to find my mate my princess and you better pray she’s not hurt or you’ll be in my dungeon for the rest of your life as I torture you every day.” I growl and I can smell the fear coming off him but there’s also that same territorial scent in the background and I know he’s not going to let her go but we’ll deal with that when it comes.

“We start at dawn.” I say and release him walking out to the limo we return to the hotel and I go straight to my room and shower before pulling on a pair of sweats. I sit on the bed and open the locket just looking at my gorgeous mate. I am crazy about her even though I’ve never seen her face to face.

*** KNOCK KNOCK***

I glare at the door before putting the necklace in my suitcase and locking it and throwing the door open to find Cecily in a pink see through negligee and that’s it. I feel nothing no desire my c**k doesn’t do much as twitch.

“I’ve made you wait long enough darling.” She purrs stepping up to me and running her hands down my chest. “I’m ready to let you take me.” Her hand slides down to rub my flaccid c**k over my pants and I push her away. “Liam what’s wrong? You got pissed last night when I only let you have my mouth.”

“You’re going home tomorrow I’ve booked your flight it leaves at 6am.” I say and she cries.

“No I want to stay with you.” She cries out.

“No we’re finished Cecily. “ I say. “Now you should go pack a car will be here at 5 am.” She finally goes to leave and stops at the door.

“We’re not finished darling I’ll wait at home for you but I’m not letting you go.” She says and leaves slamming my door. I ignore her parting words and get in bed. Thank god I never slept with her and only let her suck me off once. She’s a clinger. I fall asleep dreaming of holding , kissing and making love to my “Anima Gemela “
